Re: Master Sword Size Problems
I say that either 2 things may happen to make it bigger:
either the mater sword has been gathering minerals in those rocks or there are different master swords. how do ya explai galaxia? in the us, its called master sword http://kirby.classicgaming.gamespy.c...es/galaxia.jpg heres wat it looks like in the kirby anime... (helps my theory of different master swords...) |

Re: Master Sword Size Problems
Because, like absolutely literally everything else in the Zelda universe, it is redesigned with moderate consideration to the original with every new Zelda game.

That means having to change the size and shape of the Master Sword if needed. They're doing this to make the fans feel like its the Zelda they've been playing for 20 years and so on. It looks like some of the members in this thread already made my point... Last edited by Janus; 09-28-2007 at 09:36 AM. |

Re: Master Sword Size Problems
Each incarnation of the Master Sword is one and the same. As people have said, the style of the sword is tweaked to fit the general style of the game. If every game was made with the exact same style, the Master Sword would likely remain the same, too.

Re: Master Sword Size Problems
It's retconning by Nintendo...as already pointed out, the Ocarina of Time Child Link has some manipulation issues with it, but the sword's been downsized to fit The Wind Waker Child Link perfectly, even one-handed.
Like the Hyrule map itself, even the Master Sword changes configuration at the game designers' whim to fit the specific needs of whatever story is being told at that moment.

Re: Master Sword Size Problems
Does it matter?
![]() I mean, it always manages to find some vital organ of Ganondorf & pierce it. Also, don't you think it's good to have a big sword. Like, what would u rather have: a butter knife or a breadcutter? As for Wind Waker, I didn't spot anything unusual about the size of the Mastersword... Zephyr II ![]()

Re: Master Sword Size Problems
Mostly it's only noticeable in relation to its size in Ocarina and Twilight Princess, with Child Link having to grunt and flex and sweat a bit in order to heft the thing after pulling it from the pedastal.
The Wind Waker Link has no such issues, and the blade appears almost custom-fitted for someone his size.
