Zelda needs more violence.
Seriously, I'm sick of this kiddy game. I mean, the 2D games are great. They don't try to be badass. But if you're going to try and make a game emo, go all the way, and really make it violent. Look at Shadow the Hedgehog, it attempted to be badass but it didn't go all the way, thus it sucked. I think if Zelda added more violence, swearing, blood, and hot elf sex, the game would sell much more.

Re: Zelda needs more violence.
Hmm...
Well, I do agree with a wee bit of violence and a smattering of blood here and there. However, the lack of unecessary sex and Quentin Tarantino-esque beheadings is what makes Zelda different. The day it becomes Grand Theft Auto will be the day that I shall give up on the series... and sign a petition to get Miyamoto in the nearest insane assylum as soon as possible. Maybe they could add a substantially romantic (no SEXY TIME!) scene somewhere soon, though. I mean, that intense stare is getting a bit too old.

Re: Zelda needs more violence.
Wow, interesting. Someone had told me everyone here was stupid, thus I made this topic to test it. Apparently this is a good community, being no one overly freaked out like a rabbid Zelda fanboy. Good job.
My apologies. This topic can serve as a discussion of a more "mature" Zelda. Personally I think Wind Waker graphics are much more likeable and suited to a game. I dislike Twilight Princess graphics. |

Re: Zelda needs more violence.
Hey i think it would be a bit cooler adding some more violence into it, meaning more brutal ways to defeat people or something to that extent. I dont want any sex or stuff involved. All in all I wouldent mind some more 'graphi' stuff in a Zelda Game.

As for your Graphics comment, I approve of both. Cel-Shaded suits the Young Link, while Realistic suits the Adult Link.

Re: Zelda needs more violence.
I think that a future zelda title could at least attempt to make a proportion of the darker scenes more violent to fit the mood. I remember seeing the early trailers for Twilight Princess - with deformed ghostlike beings that looked as though they were in some sort of sewer. However, I suffered much dissapointment upon my playthrough of the game, because these characters were aborted and seemingly they were replaced by scared soildiers and citizens. The exact same thing happended to Armoghoma. In the very same trailer I spotted a dark black spider chasing Link through tunnels. What really remained in the actual game was a spider in a room full of statues that did the task of combat for you, and a comical scene at the end. I wasnt impressed by the needless dumping of aspects that nintendo promised about Twilight Princess, that it would be designed for a more mature audience.
I think that Nintendo shouldn't be afraid to add a bit more violence or at least something that is startling or scary to parts of future games that would benefit from them. I dont want Zelda to become a gore-fest, I just dont want to feel like im being protected. But no hot elf sex, please.

Re: Zelda needs more violence.
I think Ganon being impaled through the head in WW was the sort of things I expect to appear more in a Zelda game. No blood, but just something that makes you say 'ouch'.

Re: Zelda needs more violence.
I agree, the impalement was kewl, but it should've been a bit bloodier.

Re: Zelda needs more violence.
The game can feature blood and such (but nothing too graphic like organs spilling out), but having sex in there would just be going over the top. It's unnecessary.A lot of over-18s don't buy Zeldas, it's main area is teenagers, and if they make it 18+ they will lose a vital audience.

Re: Zelda needs more violence.
I don't think you can have a mature Zelda game with kiddy graphics, my friend. It would look ridiculously stupid.
