They might add some drugs and alcohol, and they do indeed have sexual references... remember Telma? Those things are the reason TP was teen...
I mean, think about it. Aside from crack and things like that, opium dens and bars would be totally normal for the kind of town that Kakiriko was... and isn't Zelda popular because of it's excessive violence with a low rating, ignoring the amazing storyline(s), and great puzzles...
Oh, and conker's bad fur day, Turok, and a million other nintendo games are 'M'. Where have you been hiding?
An M-rated Zelda would be really weird, insane, and remarkably awesome all at the same time.
Will it ever happen? There's almost no way. I'd say 2% chance we an M-rated Zelda in the next ten years. It's just not going to happen.
But it would be funny. And really fun, most likely. Imagine it on the Wii. Wield the Master Sword and splatter the insides of a Moblin on the forest floor. Maybe some intimate moments between the protagonists. Ow, ow. XD Potential greatness!
I don't think they would make an M game, nor do they need to. What constitutes the M rating? It would need excessive blood, language, drug use, or sexual content, which would never happen in Zelda. Would ALttP or OoT had been better if there was swearing in it? I think that would have taken away from the game. Plus how would that be implemented? You pick up the Master Sword and Navi says, "You got the Master Sword Mother F*****r"? Sounds like a bad idea everyway you look at it.
If I want to play a turn-based game, I'll play Monopoly.
Zelda will only be M rated if they went bankrupt and either Sony or Microsoft produced the games. It would also deter from our true love for the phenomenal, fantasy series. Other than that, nothing should be as susceptible on Nintendo's part.
Took 'ze works, right out of my mouth
Much love to my ZU friends: lil_din, princesszelda77, HelmarocKing, legend0fzelda, Tywar, I_LOVE ZELDA and nikita
zelda games should not be rated m than it would make the whole feeling of zelda that we all know and love go away. but i do think that they should make zelda games be rated T
Agreed, if Zelda goes to M, I refuse to play. it. I like the game just the way it is, and have grown up with it - just like it is. But all in all, I doubt it'll happen, but if so, I will refuse to play.

I hope the day never comes. I don't even like the fact that Zelda TP was rated Teen. Not because it was 'too scary' or 'too violent' but becasue of the poor kids who are 8 that have overprotective parents that won't let them play teen games until they are 13.
