Re: Zelda Movie: Volume II

No, but you see, no one now days considers a movie as 'moving image' as its real meaning.

Unfortunatly there are some people out there that see the title 'Zelda Movie Trailer' and think 'OMG THE OFFICIAL MULTI MILLION DOLLAR ZELDA FILM'. oppose to 'zelda, a movie about zelda'

So, yes, it is a 'movie' as in a video, or moving image, but anything more? no.

And, oh yes, I've seen many star wars fan films kid.

Re: Zelda Movie: Volume II

I think pretty much everybody knows about The Legend of Zelda: The Hero of Time by now. And unfortunately, I've heard quite a lot of negative feedback about it. The Legend of Link I hear was better, but I've yet to see it. And unlike The Hero of Time, this fan movie is CG and not live action.

Re: Zelda Movie: Volume II

That Legend of Zelda: The Hero of Time turns my stomach. The cameras and sound equipment behave as they were things bought at Best Buy, the costumes look cobbled together at best, and it looks just plain embarrassing. I feel ashamed just watching the "trailer"; I feel as though I'm doing something unspeakable to humanity.

One problem that I'm sure the creators of this fan film have thought about is the legal stipulations that making this "movie" could bring about. While they may not directly filch the storyline from OoT, the fact that they are using names such as "Link", "Zelda", "Ganondorf", and the "Master Sword" carries a tremendous risk of inciting a lawsuit from Nintendo.

This is something I will not be paying to see. If they ever manage to put it together, I will watch it on YouTube, but I think it's pretty ridiculous for people to think that it will ever amount to anything beyond a fan film.

I honestly don't think that Nintendo's really going to care unless BMB Finishes makes money off the film. It's free advertising for Nintendo, if you think about it.
Legend of Link didn't have any legal trouble.

True, but I think the example of the woman suing McDonald's because she spilled coffee on her lap shows that everyone is "suit-happy" right now.

Re: Zelda Movie: Volume II

I don't think Nintendo would care either. George Lucas has seen several fan made films of star wars, and he LOVES them!!! I don't think Nintendo can be that heartless.

Well, these are the Japanese we're talking about (not sure what NoA could do). What I understand, they don't have a way to really say "no" to your face (to them, it's rude), so they find ways around it. I doubt they're suit happy.
....great, now I sound like a Wapanese anime nut.

Re: Zelda Movie: Volume II

I thought the idea of filming in New Zealand was a bit over-rated...
due to the Lord of the Rings films out...

But I was wrong!!
This is a tourism video, and it certainly made me think twice.

New Zealand

Re: Zelda Movie: Volume II

I already mentioned it could be animated like Final Fantasy Advent Children. That would be freakin' awesome!!!!! And we wouldn't have to worry about horrible actors.

If there's a scene where Zelda suddenly says "Dilly dally, shilly shally" (twice) with or without provocation....
...then I'm out.
