Why did you play zelda?

Well when I got my 64 I used to go down to the local video store and hire games, well one day I hired Oot and I was blown away, I could not stop playing it and I wanted more. So me and my brother saved up and got it and I haven't looked back

From there on it was MM, WW & TP .. now waiting for PH

I first played my cousins OoS and OoA and i thought they were alright, but when i first say someone play OoT I knew it was love!

I've always known about zelda since I was little, but I've never actually decided to play a game until wind waker, which was strange enough since I only bought it because the cover was cute >_>
But after that I bought Minish Cap, and I loved the game even more, it sort of inspired me to play the previous 2D zelda games and then eventually to the classics like OOT and MM, and that's how I got into the series. I still play it today because I love the balance of action, adventure and puzzles. The characters in Zelda are so memorable, and I guess that's why I don't ever think about straying away from the series.

Well, when I was little my cousins came over and played it on the big tv in the living room. I still remember what they said and what it looked like, I was about 6-8.

Every time my brother was at work or out I played his N64. Usually I played Donkey Kong and Mario, but when my brother left for college he gave me his N64 and I had already played the games I liked so I tried something new.

I fell in love with the game series the second time I played it. I played it once before...I don't remember which game, I was 5, so I couldn't read and I look at the Zelda games now and I don't remember it being either one. Strange...

I played a demo-ish thing of OoT in a game shop. (You know, where they have consoles with games to try, so you can just stand there and play video games to see what they're like?) I remember talking to Saria and then leaving and running around Hyrule field for a bit, before my parents managed to coax me out of the shop.

Then later, my dad bought me an N64 for my birthday, along with OoT, and I'd play it along with him. And that's how it all started.

let me say this in the easy way, i was forced to play ALTTP when i was 4.5 years old! And now i love it!!!

well my aunt started me....i played Oot first...it was just so different(first 3d game i had played) and the whole sword and shield looked awesome so i think thats how i started..

I simply bought my nice, fresh, new NES and SNES consoles, and played LOZ first, then decided to get AOL and ALTP.

As you could imagine I was over the moon when I found out A 3D one would be released.

I remember first being interested in the Zelda series when Ocarina/Majora and the Oracle games came out. Through I was aware the Legend of Zelda was a big Nintendo franchise, but I was just a big pokemon fan back then, so I didn't know a lot about it. When Season and Ages came out, I noticed that the games were split kind of like pokemon was and was interested in trying it out because I heard it was a good series.

I also spotted some Ocarina and Oracles official art and I thought it was interesting that the land of Hyrule had it's own mythology and different races such as the Zora and the Gorons. I also liked how the Zelda series had both European and Eastern influences. Plus the Oracle games had a lot of weird things in it like Ricky and Moosh and I thought it made the Zelda series really unique.

I also was drawn to the Majora's Mask commercials and what I'd heard of the plot, but I never really considered buying a Zelda game until the Wind Waker came out. I noticed a lot of fans were up in arms about the art style, but I didn't find anything wrong with it. I saw a couple of videos and was drawn to the character of Tetra and the fact that King of Red Lions was a dragon-headed boat. (I've always loved giant reptiles, so sue me. ) Years later, I finally caved, bought, played and loved the Wind Waker, and proceeded to gobble up any other Zelda I could get my hands on. /end of massive tale

My mom showed me her old NES, and I started playing. I play Mario bros first, but that got boring, so i tried the original Zelda, and I loved it first sight.

Actually, that was the reason I started playing Video games altogthere!

The first time I got into Zelda was with Wind Waker. My mom bought it for some reason and let me watch while she played. She told me that I couldn't play it until she got a better understanding but I didn't listen. I started playing the next day while she was asleep and was automatically hooked.

I picked it up as a kid my older brother was crazy about it so of course i got into it and since then my 2 favorite series are The legend of Zelda and Rayman.....

My mom bought my brother an N64 along with Ocarina of Time and GoldenEye for Christmas. I was introduced to it on that day only by watching him and my sister play. Eventually i joined my sister's side: she played and I watched and gave advice and stuff. They had a race to see who could finish first...I joined the wrong side. She got tired of playing after a while and once my brother finished it, he stopped playing nearly for good (years later he played TP for two dungeons before stopping, again). I was the only one who stuck with it.

Haha, then on a Christmas years later I got Majora's Mask, and there was a solar eclipse that day. Strange...

I thought is was so cool. The first game I ever played was WW. My friend had it and she let me play it. I got obsessed with Zelda after I beat it. I decided that I had to have every single Zelda game.

well, i wasnt involved in zelda until a while after WW came out.

i was at a movie store w/ my best friend, and he was all like "oh look! its that wind waker game! i heard it was really good!"

so, my dad let me rent it, and it was so cool (it took me forever to get past the forsaken fortress)


later i bought the game, and my other friend helped me beat it. then i heard TP was coming out and i wanted to buy that because i remembered how fun WW was, and i cried when the store didnt have it because they moved the release date yet again.

I play Zelda because my brother played it all the time so I basically grew up around it the first Zelda game I played was Collectors addition Oot with my Gamecube I got for Christmas

I started with the original Legend of Zelda game. I probably just wanted to try different games. That or I played it at a store and liked it. So long ago, can't remember anymore.
