Re: The "Which is Better?" Thread
I'll only do a few because that's a fair amount but:
Forest Temple because it will always be my favourite dungeon of OoT due to the layout and music, however I really liked the one in TP. Navi vs Midna? Hmm, I'm still undecided on this. Maybe Navi because I prefer Link with his classic fairy but then again Midna is far more developed. Zora Armour of course, it looked brilliant and very well deisgned. Bomb Arrows are a must from now on, very fun to play around with. King Or Red Lions or Epona? Hmm, I really enjoyed the sailing in WW but Epona is faster and I like Horses. Lastly, TP or Oot? I don't know. |

Re: The "Which is Better?" Thread
OOT, it's creepier. :3
Fire Temple. Water Temple, I really hated Lakebed because of the so-called BGM, atleast the Water Temple had actual music! D: Arbiters Grounds, never really liked the Spirit Temple. Light Sword because of not being overused. Bomb Arrows, ENEMY GO BOOM. Ocarina Warping, lolsongs~ Midna, 'cause she's not a floating blue sphere of light. Epona is prettier than KoRL, but sailing is much more fun. :3 GORONS, they look so funny. xD Never played Wii, so GCN version. Zora Armor Warp Pots, 'cause Farores Wind was silly. Like I said in another thread, show your courage by escaping from a dungeon...? \O_o/ Zant, he's a forking dancing ninja. >:E Vaati, he's cuter. D: BOTH. D: Ritos are pretty, but Koroks are cute! Olawl, TWW version, he looks silly. :D Nayrus Love, atleast it didn't waste my rupees. >:E Eh, OOT. TP lacked epic music.

Re: The "Which is Better?" Thread
Wow this is alot to think about. O.o
Forest Temple (TP) < Forest Temple (OoT) = Ocarina of Time's is my favorite temple ever. I love it, especially that twisted hallway. Goron Mines > Fire Temple = Fire temple is so plain looking, I'd say Goron Mines. Plues the magnetic walls were cool. Lakebed Temple > Water Temple = Lakebed was better becuase it was just slightly easier to not get lost in. Arbiters Grounds < Spirit Temple = Spirit temple was brighter and a lot harder seeing as you had to change from a Kid to an Adult to complete it. Master Sword > Light Sword = What's the light sowrd? Fire Arrows > Bomb Arrows - Fire Arrows are cheaper, in fact you can get them free. Stupid expensive bombs... Ocarina Warping > Wolf Warping = Ocarina Warping seemed was more beautiful, the tunes will be with me forever. Navi > Midna = Midna is overrated, so Navi King of Red Lions < Epona = I grew up with Epona, so... Gorons < Zoras = Zoras are way cooler, they always live in extremely cool areas in the games. Wii Version = GCN Version TP = Haven't played Wii, so I'll just say they're equal. Blue Tunic > Zora Armor = Blue is better. I have no idea why, I just like it more. Warp Pots (WW) > Farores Wind = Warp pots, I've never used Farores Wind, well once maybe. Phantom Ganon > Zant = Never fought Zant, so I'm going to go with Phantom Ganon, his fight s always epic. Ganondorf > Vaati = Never fought Vaati in my life, so I'll say Ganon. Ritos > Koroks = Ritos are very cool, just because... Deku Tree (WW) < Deku Tree (OoT) = The WW one is ugly, so OoT Nayrus Love > Magic Armor = Nayrus love looks better and is easier to get. Twilight Princess < Ocarina of Time = OoT was much better, it actually took some skill. |

Re: The "Which is Better?" Thread
Hmm - at first I thought this would be a 'mention the name only' thread, which would be spammy.
However, seeng as people are explaining their choices, I think this thread may remain open so long as the effort in posts continue. ![]() Remember though - one-word answers will be deleted, too many of them and this'll be locked for spam. Carry on the good posting. ![]() |

Re: The "Which is Better?" Thread
OoT Forest Temple, as it was bigger, eerier, and simply more awesome looking. Plus, the music was fantastic! Perfectly sets the mood.

Re: The "Which is Better?" Thread
OoT's Forest Temple: the atmosphere and the music were awesome. Half the time I was looking over my shoulder expecting to get freaked out. Which the boss did nicely.
OoT's Fire Temple. Again, the atmosphere was great. You really felt like you were inside an active volcano, and Volvagia was an awesome boss. It felt dangerous, and rescuing the Gorons added to that serious feeling. Lakebed Temple. It felt about equal with the Water Temple in terms of atmosphere, but LT was far more original in the ways you progressed through. Water powered mechanisms, waterslides and the swimming/underwater parts were totally awesome. Morpheel was amazing too, by far my fav TP boss. Spirit Temple. Arbiter's Grounds truly creeped me out, and I enjoyed the mirrors/light aspect of ST. Light Sword. It's cool how they brought back the glowing aspect from ALTTP ( only one scene in OoT with it doing that ) The Light Sword felt more powerful. Fire Arrows. While Din's Fire could do the job nicely most of the time, I just liked them more. It's a tough call for sure. Ocarina Warping hands down. Each locale had it's own special ( and appropriately fitting ) tune. And the songs where enjoyable to listen to. As a character? Midna. As a sidekick? Navi. I loved Midna a great deal, but Navi let you do stuff more on your own. KoRL. I still think sailing in a Zelda game is the most original way of transportation I've seen yet and the KoRL was both a great sidekick and an integral character. Zoras. I think the way I'd judge this is by how much I enjoyed being one in MM: definately Zoras. I've never tried the Wii, and I've heard it lacked free camera ( which I love ) in TP. So GCN version. Zora Armor. Much cooler looking, and the swimming in TP was much more natural and fun. Closer to being a Zora like in MM. Farore's Wind. It was very useful being able to set your own warp points, especially in places like the Fire Temple, where you could use it to essentially undo a 3 floor drop. Zant. He was both a seperate entity and had a backstory. And he was hilarious to fight. Ganondorf. He had Vaati as a minion in FSA, therefore he must rule. Koroks. They were closest we could get to the Kokiri, so they felt somewhat familiar ( which was comforting in such a new world ) and they were adorable. WW Deku Tree. He had way more personality, and he seemed more connected( fatherly ) to Link than the OoT Deku Tree did, despite him being raised there. Magic Armor. Link looks awesome ( like a Prince! ) and I usually have a surplus of Rupees to burn so it's handy. OoT. I've stated my reasons before, but TP was essentially using OoT as a template...yet it missed some very important things, like the importance of Ganondorf and Zelda to Hyrule and a plot set in Hyrule. OoT itself wasn't that original, ( building heavily on ALTTP ) yet it seemed new. Something TP did not. And like the guy above said, I too felt empty after TP, and I definately did not after OoT. Probably due to the last scene in OoT, which TP did not emulate with Midna. |
