Why does everyone seem to hate Navi?

Lol, I'd love to drown her.... Or Kill her...

I don't know the contributing factor to Navi's constant annoyance but I think it has something to do her ceaseless nagging, some of the advice she does give you automatically is quite helpful although you could have easily used your intiative and figured that "pressing A, opens door" and "walking towards vines means you automatically being to crawl up them...err yeah". When I first started playing OoT I wasnt very familar with the controls since it was my first N64 game, although I did learn naturally but still Navi did help. I guess its just once you've gotten the hang of it all shes just an annoyance who really isnt neccessarily needed anymore but hey you gotta put up with her.

Anyway, I don't want to offened anyone but I read half the stuff in here and it pretty much seems to me that alot of you take something so small that a six year old would fuss about.. and just flip out about it.

Judging from some of the replys in here. :confused:

Well I believe I had a valid reason for disliking Navi. I hardly noticed her nagging and sort of blew it off as it wasn't a big deal to me. I just found no use for her whatsoever and the fact that she existed for God-knows-why is annoying to me.

I'm not saying my reason is the only good one but I personally don't see why people get so upset about her talking when you only hear it every 10 minutes or so if that.

Well I read your post, and at the most Navi seems to be just there, But put yourself in Links shoes. I'm didn't understand alot of things and wouldn't know how to deal with some enemies if Navi wasn't there to guide him.

I'm not trying to say that Link was doomed to die at the verry start of the game without her either.

From playing Alttp, I knew who they were in oot esp when the black circle got bigger. But both this and "This corridor is all twisted!" kind of bugged me. I'm like "no kidding..."

"Link...the ceiling is falling!"
It definetely stopped me from running forward, but it was made just to show Navi can be helpful. That part of the game could've been made differently so that after the camera zooms out looking down on Link, the ceiling would fall right away before Link would proceed.

Anyone could've guessed that the hammer was needed. New weapon, goron hint.

"Use Z targeting to look around corners..."
It was in dodongos cavern, useless. But in Sacred Forest Meadow, it's helpful but I mean you would learn it once you turn a corner blindly and a happy moblin awaits you.
I'm sure there are some messages that help... but more that dont'.

What was annoying about Tatl and the KORL again? When I played, they didn't say anything unnesseccary. Like Navi, piping up about stuf she's already said before.

She reminds me of a little child trying to get your atention. You know? The kind you jsut wana knee in the face but is to cute to do so!

I find posts like this really annoying and pointless. If your going to post, then post somthing that won't make you look like a troller.

This should be in N64 Zelda.

Anyhoo, I don't hate Navi. shes just annoying like all the other zelda partners.

My apologies. I was just trying to give an example of HOW ANNOYING THAT STUPID FAIRY CAN BE!!! The ONE TIME you actually need her help, she wimps out, ("I can't get through the waves of darkness!"). Dangit, I could've REALLY used z-targeting that first time around. I've loathed her ever since.
