Other Animals in the Zelda Series

Does anyone think that it would be cool if Link could ride other animals besides a horse? If so, please tell.

Maybe,but not as the main animal like Epona. NEVER CHANGE EPONA! If you have played Twilight Princess up to the Gerudo desert you can ride the Wild boars.

[EDIT] He can get them in Hyrule field too

Yea your right, they shouldn't get rid of epona. I think they should make a flying "battle" bird who swoops down from the sky and attacks the opponent

Are you forgetting the Oracle Games? Or are you mainly refering to the 3D titles?

I agree with Sheik, that would be so awesome.

Yah, in the oracles he could ride a kangaroo, bear, or dodongo. And in TP he can ride the boars. And in a lot of the games Link can "ride" cuccoos ; ). Jk, but if you do count cuccoos, you can count riding the ooccas too in TP.

It would be quite interesting if, in another game, Epona was taken into the Twilight Zone or something similar and transformed there, and given new characteristics.

Cool, but I was thinking more along the lines of a dragon.

I really want Zelda to drop the horse, and replace it with a mythological flying creature like Pegasus. Imagine traveling through a vast world on both the land and in the sky.

I like the dragon idia. And for overwater Link can have a Lochness monster kinda thing to ride on.

You are obviously being facetious, but you mentioned "mech birds". Now, imagine riding some Goron machine akin to Goht for some reason... that would be interesting.

Yes, it is cool riding a kangaroo, dodongo, bear, boat, and boar instead of a horse sometimes.

There have been five other animals Link can ride (that I can remember). The kangaroo, dinosaur, bear, and the bird in Twilight Princess.

If you're going to include the bird in TP, you might as well include KG from OoT.

I'm sure most people are talking about more uses than doing a minigame, or just transporting from one point to another. That should probably go for warping too, since you warp with a duck in ALttP.

EDIT: Well, that's pretty much what Epona does in OoT.

If you've played the oracle games, you'll see that link has ridden a kangaroo and some alligator thing
