SNES ALTTP vs GBA ALTTP

I don't know if its just me and I've honed my skills over the years, but does anyone here beside me think that the GBA remake of ALTTP was significantly easier than its Snes counterpart???

#1. You're older
#2. You've beaten the game before no?

There's no difference

Re: SNES ALTTP vs GBA ALTTP

true true.
but what i meant was like, bosses seemed easier.
eg the boss in the skull woods dungeon.I clearly remember in Snes getting my tail wooped by him cuz he was really fast and the spikes moved more.
also,it definitely took less hits to down most enemies, especially bosses.

I beat the Snes version Ages ago.I beat the GBA version 2 days ago...
So i expected myself to be muy rusty :XD

It depends how often you play Zelda games today.

They all virtually use the same style of puzzles and combat, so just because you hadn't played ALTTp in ages doesn't mean you'd be rusty, because you'd have the other Zelda games to keep your mind fresh.

I didn't notice any difference, though I played the GBA version many years after the SNES version.

Re: SNES ALTTP vs GBA ALTTP

Lawl, I've done it the opposite way.

I got it on GBA in 2001 and sucked at it.
Got it on VC about a week ago and i'm awesome.

That's no specific reason why the remake initially is easier.;_;
That particularly makes no sense...Why? Read Mystic Link's reply.
I don't like to repeat other people, that's why.

Re: SNES ALTTP vs GBA ALTTP

I've only played the remake, I'm afraid. Too young to have played the originals. But I found the GBA one pretty challenging, I'm pretty sure it's the exact same game with a few changes to some text.

Re: SNES ALTTP vs GBA ALTTP

Actually there is difference between the SNES and GBA version. A part of the 5th temple where you need to push a stone from the above floor on a switch to open a door is removed and you can totally skip that part making the dungeon significantly easier. Source: IGN.com

Re: SNES ALTTP vs GBA ALTTP

I never played the snes version but I played the GBA version and the Game was hard and I didn't think there was a difference until the_Predator pointed that out. Now I want to get the snes version on the VC to challenge myself.

Re: SNES ALTTP vs GBA ALTTP

GBA is version is better because you can take it anywhere and some of the bosses were easier than they were on VC. But thats just me...

Re: SNES ALTTP vs GBA ALTTP

I've got both versions of the game, and in the Snes version, I can't get past the Ice palace. They've totaly omitied the need to push that little block down the hole for the GBA.

Why don't people realise this.
If you to the next dungeon, Misery Mire, and grab the Cane of Somaria, you can skip that little puzzle. Even though I still don't see why people struggle with that.

BTW, origional is best, the snes version rocks. Although of course I HAD to get the portable bad boy to take around with me.
