Darknuts and Iron Knuckles

The ball and chain guy is named Darkhammer.

Yeah but the lttp guys may have been the Iron Knuckles! Eitherway...the dark hammer was a reanimated suit right? Perhaps those are the new Ironknuckles.

Are you kidding tWW didn't make any new creatures Darknuts came from the first Zelda and Iron Knuckles came form Zelda II: AoL.

As far as I remember the word naut refers to a solider, navy if I am correct. It's possible but I am probably going to side witht he first explaination of the name, which is that it comes from the Japanesse word Dark Knight.

Iron Knuckles do not have phiscal form, and last I checked you defeated that guy by attacking his lisard like tail meaning that there is a being inside the suit.

I did some research on the ball and chain guy from aLttP (if you will notice my new avvy you will notice that it is him) anyway the manual says.

the Ball and Chain troopers are indeed soliders being controlled. So that would most likely mean that they have a closer relationship to the Darknut rather then Iron Knuckles.

I classify iron knuckles as a kind of Armos, while Darknuts are upgraded skeletal warriors. I even believe that Stalfos are fallen Darknuts because of the armor and weapon similarity.

The ones in TP are Darknuts. The only difference I see between the two is that the Iron Knuckle has more armor and uses an axe instead of a sword.

Basically, Darkhammer in Twilight Princess cannot be an Iron Knuckle because he has a tail, therefore he is not an animated suit of armor like we know Iron Knuckle's to be.

I also believe that 'Darknut' comes from 'Dark Knight' but that they left it that way to avoid it being cliche. It's a tough call whether or not the TP enemies are Darknuts or Iron Knuckles. It could go either way because you never see any skin, for all we know it could be animated armor that also has clothing and chainmail on.
