Targeting Preferences

My friends and I recently had a debate about this, so I thought I would see what the guys at ZU thought.
In the 3D Zeldas do you prefer hold, or switch Z/L targeting?
I personally like Hold, It makes me feel as if I have more control, plus having it on hold makes it difficult to fight multiple enemies.

I prefer hold.

Hold is the best way to go. I also thing there should be a poll about this.

really, it depends on the situation!
hold is good when theres a whole lot of enemies,
but i prefer switch, especially when fighting a boss or one tough enemy,
because i hate accidentally letting go of of the targeting button and losing track of what im fighting, especailly if im using arrows

Hold feels more "pro" while switch feels more newbie-friendly. I really don't like pressing Z more than I have to so I go with hold.

It is. In fact, a Gossip stone in fromt of King Zora's altar says something like "The true Zelda fans use the Hold-Targeting system."

Check your OOT Options/Settings.

You know that Z-targeting is Z-targeting regardless of your hold/switch settings ^_^

Hold. Many times I feel the need to quickly Z-target and go out of it. Like getting on the ground to shield+that stab thing. I try to use switch, but I just keep holding onto the Z button. I just can't use switch, it doesn't feel... natural.

Hold is so much easier. Switch was very difficult to manage, though it made "switching" targets slightly easier. But still, Hold works better for me.

Yeah i use Hold, its easier to use than Switch.

I use hold, because holding the trigger down gives me a firmer grip on the controller (The last thing you want while fighting darknuts is to drop your controller :embrsd

I've always used Hold. I used Switch once, though, against Ganondorf, as my finger was getting tired by this point.

Like most of the others in this topic, I also use the Hold method. :]

I personally like hold as well. I had my boyfriend switch it to switch on me once and that totally threw off my groove. Unfortunately, he found it funny, whilst I did not.

what kind of question is that? hold is much better! the first time i played i thoug the targeting system was stupid, especially when i targeted a stone after getting the sword, i targeted it, i pressed Z again and he targeted another stone, Z again and, surprise! he targeted another stone, then i find the options menu and i selected hold and it was perfect! (but i accidentally change the sound to mono)

I prefer SWITCH. I get tired of holding it down. I only change it to HOLD if things somehow get confusing.
