Link Reference In AC:WW

Here is a loose quote from what one of the animals in my town said in Animal Crossing: Wild World.

"I met this cute boy in green when living in another town. He used to shoot things out of the sky with his boomerang. I wonder if Nook sells magical boomerangs, if he doesn't, then what could we use to shoot things?"

Keep in mind these were not the exact words, but that's what it said, just in different wording.

So do you think that this could be a reference to Link?

Well, yea i cant see why not? Nintendo always make refrence to there characters, i see it as one of there little trades. I remember one in Donkey Kong 3 for SNES. When you go see one of those bears he mentions link wanting to get to the castle or something. I cant remember exactly what he said, but im sure if you look it up you would be able to find it . . . i think.

That happened to me too! I was playing animal crossing and I found the seagull lying in the ground and it said that he had done lots of thing out in the sea, including saving a sea horse from sea snakes in pinnacle rock, but then he said: "no, wait, that wasn't me." or something like that. I suppose thats a reference to link too, right?.

Don't remember that, but I do know Link was in Donkey Kong Country 2 for the snes...
There are many references of nintendo characters in other nintendo games. Like the Chain Chomp in LA, the Cheep Cheeps in the GameBoy Zeldas, The Mario posters in Zelda's castle in OoT. I just don't remember a lot of references to Link in other games

There's another reference to Zelda in the Gamecube AC. If you open certain drawers it says, "You found 100 Rupees! Too bad you can't use them here" or something like that.

That's in WW too. It's in the kiddie dresser.

Yes, quite right, I heard someone say that as well. She actually still lives in my village, her name is Ruby, a bunny. When I first heard this, one thing came to mind: Bunny Link might want to meet her. Har, har, har. Anyways, yet another referance to Zelda in Animal Crossing. I think it makes more cameo's in that game than any other Nintendo series. I could be wrong, but hey, Zelda rocks. Here's to finding the Triforce.

In Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, you can get the "Master Sword". And it's identical to Link's.

Also, My friend has told me that in the FFII for playstation (SP too I think) , if you go to the elf town and read the graves in the cemetary, one of them says, R.I.P Link, or something like that.

References within Nintendo games are quite common. An example within Zelda OOT is the zip of Talon's jumper which is the head of Bowser.

I bet they did. Nintendo likes joking around with their fans.

in Animal Crossing Wild World, if you shoot down the UFO, the spaceman (or bird) asks if you have seen a fox who flys through space or a female bounty hunter that can roll into a ball. Refering to Fox McCloud and Samus Aran.

Yeah you do see link asleep in that Vaati 2705. and in ALttP all the houses in the town have mario paintings on the walls.

You lot are all forgetting that in AC for the GC there's the obvious Master Sword statue that you get as well.

There's meant to be a Zelda letter going out to those who play AC:WW online in the next few days.

you can get the triforce and master sword in acww,but i dont know about ac
