a LoZ card game!?

what would you say if nintendo realeased a modern card game of link. link and friends could have different attack stats with equippable items. not everyone would agree on this being a good idea but nintendo could make big money off this,

Uh......no. I don't think it would be a good idea. There was a thread about a LoZ RPG and nearly everyone hated the idea. The main reason was that they thought that Zelda would be ruined if ti was turned into a party game liek Mario. I agree with them.

So, in conclusion, No. I think it's a bad idea.

I actually have trading cards from classic NES games including LoZ and AoL.

i think this is the worst idea in history. ofcourse its not all about my oppinions. if u thinked i liked a cardgame idea your wrong, it would mess up its retro days and probably bring LoZ's rating down. i like my zelda the way it is

i just posted this to see how many people would like it. personaly from my own point of veiw i hate this idea. like i said above it would wreck the image and dissapoint fans.

I totaly see why you guys dont like the idea, but I kinda think it is cool. (Tried making one on my own, bad idea!) As of now I guess that I am the only vote for yes.

Bad Idea, very bad Idea. That wouldn't sink the Zelda series, but it would discredit it a bit.

I think this could a fun thing - as a fan-made game of course, nothing more.

NOOOOOOO! That'd be milking the franchise, and that almost always suck! Look at Mario party.

Me and my brother made a card version from paper and pencil. We were just bored... Ha! we even made a marble one. And different coloured ones resembled different races eg dekus would be the green ones. And you had to attack each other by hitting them with your marble. It was somthing like that anyway...Still, it kept us intertained for a few hours.

Yeah it'll be okay just for fun but if they turn it into pokemon trading cards then it'll will just get out of hand.

definetly not! I don't want to see any Zelda RPG card game. It even reminds me of the failure attemp of a game by Nintendo of the Adventure of Link.

No way! Card game + Zelda = Bad! It'd definatly damage the reputation and milk the series. Nintendo already has a series that they can milk and stretch all they want.

I'd only buy the card game if it has original art just for the cards and not screenshots...those are crappy. It'd be fun to collect for a zelda fan. But it'll probably be one of those one shot deals where you never see them being sold after a year.

OMFG! Someone stole my idea!!

Seriously, I'm developing a Yugioh style, Zelda based game that uses pics as cards. Since I'm off from Sunday-Tuesday, I should be done soon. I'm planning on presenting it to the BA council, to see if they approve.

I know you're talking about a game with real cards, and I'm sure collectors would love that. I don't collect cards and such, so I wouldn't be into it much. I might buy a few, though.

Instead of just Zelda, they could have all different characters like Mario, Kirby, Fox, Caption Falcon, etc. Nintendo could also make sets of collectable cards that came with their video games. Maybe even have it for an unlockable mini game on SSB.

Anyway a yugioh style game wouldn't go too well with the zelda series. You can't really summon, the only thing you can do is like a one card drawing game where it's almost like rock, paper, scissors technique. Maybe a four swords style game, where multiple links duke it out, each one having the special personality they come with. One color being better at something than another, that way you'd need strategic thinking to see whether you should use a shield, arrow, sword... whatever.

But still... that would stink and the game seems like something that should come with a happy meal and not an actual pack.

They did? I didn't know they did. Oh well. Anyways, I went and quickly threw together of what the would be like.

I say no. This is because of the example Pokemon gave us. When a good game comes out, everybody loves it. But, if you milk the franchise with things like comics, books, cartoons, cards, clothes, and other stuff, then people will see it as a fad and it'll be forgotten and even looked down upon sooner or later. The same thing would happen with Zelda.
