The Legend Of Zelda: Adventure of Ganondorf

Does anybody else think Nintendo should make a game showing things through the eyes of the King of darkness, maybe to escape the oblivion he is sent to everytime he has to go through temples maybe, maybe it's time ganon actually won , He could even have all those people he must have went through i mean when he took in over OOT do you think Hyrule just laid down and Died no, im sure countless attempts on ganons castle happened during those 7 years of sleep for Link. Maybe it's time the Greudo King had some play time

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Adventure of Ganondorf

Interesting. I'd play that. I don't think Nintendo will ever do that, though... But it would be interesting to know more about Ganondorf and his story. About his own quest for the Triforce, and to become the King of Evil. The game would probably have an unhappy ending for him, but still. Of course it doesn't have to be about OoT times... It could be whenever. Hmm. Really, that actually sound's cool. Now you got me all exited about a thing that'll most likely never happen. Damn.

Just one thing. You're Gannon-banned.

Hmm, kinda like the book Grendel was Beawoulf from the viewpoint of the monster...interesting concept, but it will never happen.

No offense, but that sounds exceptionally stupid. I mean, what would you do? Who wants to play a big, fat pig? You wouldn't be able to use any of Link's awesome items nor would you fight Ganon's hideous beasts. No, not a good idea at all.

I think it could be cool. I'd like it if it were a game about Ganondorf before he became the King of Evil. That or a book, or a movie, or a mini-series would be good.

Yeah, EXTREMELY STUPID idea. Just think about Grand Theft Auto - bad guys vs. bad guys???!!!1 No wonder that franchise died after the first release... oh wait..

Come on, a spin-off would be great. Ganon(dorf) could be battling an enemy of his who wants to take over Hyrule or another land and Ganon must fight him/her off so he can take over the lands instead.

The stupid thing in this thread is that people assume that Ganon would have to fight Link. Obviously that wouldn't work and would therefore not be a part of the game.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Adventure of Ganondorf

It sounds like a pretty good idea. I mean, it may not be extremly good, because of the lack of evil enemies you could fight, but it still might be a good game.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Adventure of Ganondorf

I don't think Ganon was Like "im gonna take over Hyrule" and it was done the next day. he started out small nody knew who he was, To obtain such power he probably had to kill many different warriors and such, im sure more than a few people tried to kill him along the way

It would be cool if they had you switching back and forth from Link to Ganondorf in one game to advance the storyline, like they did in the Ultimate Spiderman game.

Firstly you wouldn't be playing as a big fat pig, you would be playing as Ganondorf, And you would have loads of items as Ganondorf, his sword, his magic and if it were released he would probably have more items, you may not fight many hideous beasts, but during the seven years Link's not there you would probably fight many soldiers, trying to seige the castle! Hell, this would've been a good game! (If it were made) Like the last boss could've been Link where you fight a good battle but die in the end...or, the game would've finshed when Adult Link sets out for the medallions because you know what was going to happen, and maybe the last boss could've been a Giant Guard, maybe even a giant Goron or something...

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Adventure of Ganondorf

Who says the game has to take place during OoT? Who says it has to take place during any of the games, for that matter. Why not make a game where you play as Ganondorf, and he ends up winning for once, but then in the sequel you play as Link and come back to pwn him like we always do.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Adventure of Ganondorf

That would be even better Blind Swordsman! A new adventure not a game you already know that would be way better!
And then you could play as Link or something like that Ganondorf would really win... But I guess that'd never happed...

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Adventure of Ganondorf

I like the idea, but two adittions (Or else it's spam):

1) To avoid timeline cofusions, in the last battle you play as Link to defeat Ganon, thus Ganon loses.

2) It could be an RTS, it makes more sense, you have all these unit types (monsters) trying to stop the enemy capturing the castle or other objectives.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Adventure of Ganondorf

It would be kind of cool. You could play as Ganondorf, and get a big sword to crush enemies with. You could also, later in the game, probably use magic to turn yourself into "Ganon" form, for super-powered mashing. It would be alright, but it would probably have to be more like a medieval GTA than a Zelda game. I see Ganondorf would be more suited to free-roaming destruction than dungeon crawling, puzzle solving gameplay that Zelda has.

Also, RTS games, or any strategy games, don't always suck. Look at turn-based strategy games such as FF Tactics. Look at RTS games like Age of Empires. And, even though I haven't played these games, look at Warcraft. I've only played WoW. Heheh.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Adventure of Ganondorf

Getting a little off topic, aren't we? Well, anyway, I have to agree that there would have to be less puzzles than a regular Zelda game and more fighting. I just can't see Ganondorf sitting in the middle of a room trying to figure out where to push a block.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Adventure of Ganondorf

Blind Swordmans got a point... Ganondorf wouldn't be trying to figure out where to put a block... He would smash through the door if you had to put a block on a switch and if it were loads of blocks you had to push to get out of the way he would fly over them... So it would be more fighting...But I like fighting more than the puzzles so that would be okay with me, it matters what view you have I guess...

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Adventure of Ganondorf

Ya it probably wouldn't be puzzles un less they were magic puzzles, but even though it would probably completely diverge from what zelda is. It's defintly worth Nintendo taking a swing at

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Adventure of Ganondorf

Zelda strategy game starring Ganondorf, eh? Sounds good to me. I would also like a spin-off based on TP (engine, graphics, style) and have Ganon fight off his enemies in an action-packed game. Similar to what SquareEnix did with Vincent's Final Fantasy VII game.
