How did you start to like Zelda?

How did your fandom to the greatest game series start? OoT at a friend's house started it 4 me. Now its my favorite game.

SSBM was my first videogame ever. After a few characters, I started using Link...and I liked him (he's my best character^^). So this is how I learned about the Legend of Zelda. My first Zelda game was TWW and I loved it! So yea, that's how I got into Zelda^^

I got a Super Nintendo and A Link to the Past for my birthday and my parents thought the title sounded cool. Then I played the game, then I beat the game, then I mastered the game. I even found the wierd secret room.

Well, I had seen a friend play OoT, but I had no idea what Zelda was then, and it had no significance to me. It just looked interesting. I promptly disregarded it completely.

Years later, I got a GBA SP and bought aLttP (GBA version) because it looked interesting. It was fun. I forgot about the legend of Zelda after that.

Then came tMC. I remembered LoZ when I heard about it coming out. I went back and replayed aLttP. By the time I had finished tMC I was hooked on the series. In fact, I joined ZU about that time. (After that I proceeded to play OoT, MM, and part of tWW at a friends house - my parents dislike consoles, and I played OoS and OoA on my SP (my sister had them for a while) and I also played AoL (GBA version) - because my brother got it - the game is impossible for me, though. I have not played LoZ, LA, and FSA, but that's all.) Now I wait for PH to come out much more than I waited for tMC. Thus I conclude the story of my LoZ life.

Same way with me, except I remeber playing SSB at a friend's house, and seeing Link as a character. I knew nothing about the Legend of Zelda at the time, but after buying OoT and seeing this Link character in it, I fell in love with OOT and soon the other Zelda games followed until I became a full-fledged fan.

My brother brought me into Zelda. I thank him for that !

legend of zelda has been in my family before i was ever even born. my mother is still a huge fan of zelda and she got me hooked on playing a link to the past when i was three. it was to see who could beat their game first. amazingly, i won. that's when i started to play the other games too. AoL, and LoZ were my favorites back then. but i've been a huge zelda fan ever since!

It all started when my friend and I played LoZ in his basement. Awe, good times.

My uncle had A Link to the Past and my family went to his and my Aunt's home, and me being the anti-social youngster that I was, I opted to ignore my family and play Super Nintendo in their living room, I just randomly popped Zelda in and it instantly became my favorite game, just from running around and killing soldiers.

Well my brother and I got a N64 because we always wanted one. It was second hand and came with 2 games; Pokemon Stadium and Zelda Ocarina of Time. We only wanted Pokemon Stadium because I never heard of Zelda. Anyways we sorta got tired of Pokemon and played Zelda. We were sorta interested with the story and then when the gameplay came around, we were HOOKED! We were playing all day, every day. Our eyes hurt but we didn't care. Then we got LOZ MM the day we beat LOZ OOT.

Al I remember is that as a kid we had A Link to the Past, and that was the only game we had. So, I played it all the time. Then we got an N64, and I forced someone to buy me OoT.

My mom is really young so she enjoyed playing video games back in the 80's. She wanted us to try Zelda on our NES so we rented it and it lead to the purchase of many Nintendo systems and a lot of Zelda games thereafter ^_^.

I think it's funny though, she played through WW with my younger brother - who is about the same age as I was when I played through LoZ. Strange but nostalgic situation.

I loved LoZ and AoL but Zelda was really nothing more than another cool game for the NES. The true Zelda-fandom came with the release of ALttP. I went nuts playing through that game, it was so awesome. I felt the same thing later when I got my hands on OoT and then also MM. I hope I have no doubts I will feel the same when I play through TP the first time.

What started me on being a Zelda fan was my cousin. He bought his N64 around, with Ocarina of Time. He let me have a go on the game, i wasn't much good then either.

About a month later, i was in town when i saw Links Awakening and a GBC budled together. Thinking back to playing OOT on the N64, i thought this was a good game to play. Unfortunetly, i never got into the game so i lent it out to a mate, who to this day has never given it back (8 years ago). Then at Christmas that year, i got an N64 with Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time.

Since then, i have got every Zelda game and beaten them multiple times.

I got into playing LoZ when i was about 4-5 LoZ was my first ever game nevermind Zelda game, evern tho it was my first game/Zelda game, it's taken me till now to actualy start playing it properly, i finaly made a start on it last night. i've done the first six dungeons and i saved it as i started the 7th ^_^ it's such a good game even after 20years.

I first played oot at one of my brothers friends house but then I found out we had it so all the games except two later here I am.

I remember getting the N64 because I had begged my parents for it along with a Pokemon game. Later I wanted more games for it, and I believe I chose Zelda because I had heard a lot about it or something. Maybe I had read Nintendo Power or something, but either way, I got Majora's Mask for Christmas, and I can still remember it like it was yesterday. I'd spend hours playing that game, not getting anywhere, but loving every minute of it. I was around 10 at the time, and soon I asked for Ocarina of Time, and got hooked on that as well. I've beaten OoT, and sadly, not MM yet, even though I've had it for like five years. Don't get me wrong, I'm still hooked. But when I was younger I was afraid of all the monters. ^^ But I'm working my way through it now!
