Is the end near?

Do you personally think that the infamous series of fighting Ganon/Ganondorf, rescuing the Princess, and wearing green clothes is near it's end? Personally think it's nearing, but we still have a long ways until then. What do you think?

I don't see the end of Zelda, just as I don't see an end to Final Fantasy. As long as there is a demand, it will be arround for a long time.

I see a lot of these theads in the future zelda section. Anyhow yeah I think it's nearing but I think at least 6 more will come out. Like they always say, "all good things come to an end."

I think it still has a bit to go. If it ends either we will se Link perma die spirituly or maybe all the villans die once and for all or even the whole world to end. I don't think PH or TP are even close to being the end.

Zelda is slowing down a bit whne the first came out with the series thay were poping out zelda games like crazy nows its a few years before a new one comes out and is acually a "good" hit.

Honestly, the end of the Zelda series it really far away. As long as the series makes money and there's people like us, Nintendo is going to keep doing it, even if that means that we are going to see the 50th saga on the series. You want Zelda to end, then stop buying it and you'll see how it disapear. But that's something I'm not going to do for sure, as long as either Miyamoto or Aonuma are still alive, or maybe Aonuma finds a great succesor as Miyamoto found one in him (Aonuma).

Yeah good point. If a game series makes so much why stop? It'll keep coming as long as you keep buying.

No Zelda is not nearing it's end because it still makes too much money for Nintendo. I think that as long as Nintendo is around and Zelda still makes a large revenue for Nintendo Zelda games will be made.

So far Nintendo has made a "Great" Zelda for every console they've produced except for the Game Cube (not yet anyways). So I can't say that the end is remotely near.

It'll last at least as long as Star Trek did.

As long as there is Nintendo, there will be Zelda, even if they end the Ganondorf thing and get a new villain.

The end is no where near as long as theres a Nintendo theres always Zelda and Mario remember that Zelda was like the second game series that Shigero made, and as long as theres Miyamoto and Nintendo, and Mario theres always Zelda.

I'd say we're about 1/3 through. I mean, TP is supposed to be the "end of Zelda as we know it," meaning there will be another series. Plus, almost everything "fantasy" comes in trilogies. So, 1/3 of the way through still means we've got quite a while.

yea. I don't see Zelda ending anytime soon. Alot of people love Zelda and ts very popular in the videogame world. Sure the killing Ganny and saving Zelda thing is kind of old, but Ninty always finds ways to make each game unique and fun. Even if a Big Horrible thing were to happen to Zelda, it would still keep going; its that great (plus there's alot of hardcore Zelda freaks like us that will always be there buying it). Kind of like what happened to Mario when the Mario Moive came out >.< Zelda is at its prime and I don't see why Zelda should end. So I don't think we should worry about that ^^

But, when it's ending does come near (hahah Sorry to say this, but everything does. Although.... great things take a LOOOONG time to end) it will slowly go until it ends in a whisper. What I mean by this is Zelda won't end just suddenly....it just can't.

I sure hope not. If the series were too end in the near future, It'd be a bad ending to a great series. I think as long as Nintendo's around, Zelda will be around, so no, I don't think it's coming to a close any time soon.

I personally think until Aonuma dies/retires will Link end, unless gets a good sucessor.

Yea i agree, but then again theres a certin amount of creation. The games will either be the same thing over again with a different theme. OR with really...really stupid ideas.

The series is far from over, yet it can't possibly last forever. I don't want even it to.
