Cheats and walkthroughs: do you ever use them?

Well do you ever use cheats or walkthroughs??
as for me first time round I don't even look at the cheats, I man whats the point of playing I your going to cheat. After Iv'e finished I try a few out though.
As for walkthroughs it's a last resort for me I think I only looked a one a couple when I played OOT, and a couple times for 4 sword adventure I'm usually like ooooooh ye after I've looked at them.

I try my best not to, but sometimes I just can't figure something out on my own. I also like to go online near the end of the game so I can learn about all the extra sidequests and best items. I do all that for every new game.

I don't use walkthroughs and cheats only 'till after I have defeated that game. I use the walkthrough to get 100% completion (most games, I don't need it), and the cheats to unlock hidden secrets and glitches; whatnot.

I use cheats only after the I beat the game, but I will often use walkthorughs to see if I missed anything cool during the game or if I'm really stuck and impatient to get on with the game, I use a walkthrought maybe at most once or twice per game. Except Riven. I printed the walkthrough for that one...

I used the walk through once, because I got stuck in the forest temple the first time I played it and I used the walk through to find the key I was missing. I don't use cheats the first time I play it. I do it the second time just for fun to see what happens.

I dont use cheats or walkthroughs, I think its no fun if you do. Even though I havent tried it, it would probably take all the fun away from figuring it out

I used a walkthrough in the water temple once because I couldn't figure out the blasted water levels...I got lost alot too...but that was about a year and a half ago...when I went back to play OoT again I didnt use any cheats or anything and it seemed easy, but I guess I've improved.

I used walkthroughs only when i was extremely frustrated and couldn't progress for more than half an hour, i don't use cheats/glitches at all but generally the games aren't that hard. It's when the designer decides to put in something that no one can understand and expects people to get it "oh, the third brick from the left and up two is actually a secret switch that you must hit with your bottle! i should have known. :embrsd: "

Well it depends on what the cheat is. The walkthrough if you use it all you suck but if you get stuck and use it rarely it seems ok.

I have never used a cheats on zelda games. I only use walkthroughs after beating the game upon beating the game 100%. Once in a while I'll use a walkthrough for a zelda game if I'm having a really, really hard time on something and I'm desperate for help, which is very rare for me though.

I only use walkthroughs to check the things I've missed the first time through - mainly items and side-quests.

I don't use cheats ever.

I don't use the walkthroughs in the first and second round, and I can either, I don't let myself do it, because why will you pay 50 dollars for something you're not really going to enjoy? Honestly, just passing a game without making any effort gives anyone some kind of joy? I can't comprehen those people.

But maybe on the Third round I use the walkthroughs so I can get everything I couldn't on the first to rounds. I've to say that I had use walkthroughs before ending a game the first time, but I just do that when I'm way too desperate. I just get desperate after spending 4 month trying to figure out how to advance.

Walkthroughs I use whenever I'm really stuck. Like, I've been trying to get past a spot for days, and I've exausted all ideas. I cheat after I beat the game, and it gets boring.

I rarely ever use cheats and walkthroughs. I only use walkthroughs when I'm really stuck. Then I'll read a sentence or two just for a little hint to push me along. But I usually don't get that stuck.

Ye that what I do when I get really stuck, I only ever read what I nead I mean reading on just ruins the surprise of what happens next. I also look at the walkthroughs to see if I miss any side quests which I don't often do because I well do everything I hate the idea that I've missed something.

I do not use cheats (for zelda), but when I was "new" to zelda I used walkthroughs.

I used the walkthrough for two reasons:
1. I was stuck.
2. I was to lazy to do the game by my own """"skill"""". lol

I have only used walkthroughs on two games: LoZ and OoT.

I used the walkthrough for LoZ, because that game was extremely confusing. How are you supposed to know where to go to fight Ganon? And on OoT, I used it on my first playthrough, because I was about seven or eight years old. On my second time through it (when I was twelve) I didn't use it except for the water temple, because I missed one of the keys, and had to go back and go through all of it again, and used the guide to help me find it. Barely helped, though....

I only use walkthroughs if I'm hopelessly stuck (Pirate's Fortress on MM, for example. Spent 5 years on that one). I only use cheats if I've already completed the game and just want to mess around for a bit.

I've always tried my best not to use walkthroughs but I had to when I first started playing like OoT...but then again I was only 9. I remember my dad bought the official guide for OoT when he got it .

I do try and avoid them as much as possible, but if I am unbearably stuck to the point of tears (as we all get on Zelda) a walkthrough is my last resort...

I had one from a magazine that my cousin gave me and it takes you through the Water Temple in OoT, and I regret using it. Because of it, I couldn't enjoy Ocarina of Time to the fullest the very first time I played it. Oh well, I probably didn't miss much.
