Which Timeline do You Support?

Okay, since there's so many different kinds of timelines being made for the placement of the Zelda games, I thought I'd start this poll to see which kind of timeline people most support. Simply choose which one you support, and give your reasons as to why. Please note that because this is an extremely controversial subject on a Zelda forum, this can quickly turn into a flame war. Please do not comment on others, question the choice of others, or do anything else which could lead to insults. This is meant to be an honest and clean poll, and we don't want anybody mucking it up. Now, here's a basic explanation of the choices.

Single- You believe that there is only one timeline, in which all the games are placed in.

Split- You believe that the timeline splits off somewhere into two different timelines, in which some games are on one and are not on the other.

Multiple You believe that there are multiple timelines in which games are grouped for their similarities and intentional connections.

Undecided You either do not care about there being a Zelda timeline and would rather stick to playing the games or you just haven't made up your mind yet.

I believe there is a single timeline which includes all the games, I also believe a loop in time exists at the conclusion of OOT. How I believe all the games piece together is another matter however, I havn't entirely thought through.

Split. Theres a lot of evidence and so that points that there are 2 different times in the LoZ series. it seems to me theres stuff that happen only while he is an adult and while he is a kid. Even in OoS and OoA there were different timelines you played in

While the multiple timeline way is the most logical, I like trying to figure out ways that they can all relate. On the other hand, I split the Four Swords legend from the rest, since it doesn't revolve around the triforce or Ganon. Even though Ganon is in FSA, and it is the same Link and Zelda from the Triforce legend.

I guess that's a split timeline, but most people who think of the split timeline refer to OoT Adult and Young Link. What an intricate web has been woven.

I wouldn't say it splits at OOT but rather it loops thus having no effect on further game placement. My opinion anyway.

No, it hasn't. That was a misunderstanding. A big misunderstanding. However, you are all entitled to your opinion, so I'll let you all say what you believe in.

Dude, Aonuma has stated once the TWW takes place in the adult Link ending timeline of OoT, and suggesting that it does split.

The only problem with deciding is that it seems like all the games don't relate to eachother except Oot and MM cause Link was looking for a lost friend but thats another thread.

Undecided. I don't give a ***** about timelines... really. Who would want to spend multiple hours thinking of a Game Series timeline?

It's most definatly undecided. I could never piece together a timeline without all the games.

Thats like saying "I don't give a **** about what Mario takes does for a living" Hes gotta be plumber or else it wouldn't be the Super Mario bros. plumbing service. tLoZ needs a time line since the main item, the Master Sword makes the person travel through time. Though really as long as the game is fun I don't care too much about timeline.

Hey, cut it out! We are not here to criticize the views of others. We are only here to share our views. This is why I said not to respond to what others say, because this place can quickly become a flame war.

I'm a total suppporter of LOZ Historian. That's all I have to say for now.

Not trying to flame anyone but the timeline of the Legend of Zelda is pretty important. Oot the Mastersword. MM its all 3 days. OoS about traveling to the past.

I'd piece together a timeline if I could. What part of "I don't have the whole series" don't you understand? All's I mean to say is, I couldn't make a timeline if I wanted to. And how Doc Rock sees it is how he sees it. I don't think anyone really wants to turn this into a feud...:moodswing

I'm undecided. I believe in the Split Timeline, and the Linear Timeline. I can see it both ways, as the temporal loop or as the split-off...One thing I belieeve for certain, though, is I believe the order they take place in is the same order as LOZ Historian's timeline, maybe a few changes.
