If you could change one thing in any Zelda game...

There are imperfections in the zelda games and if it were up to me id change the saving in LoZ. the way it sends you back to that one clearing is really evil. or how the dungeons in MM reset in the middle when you save. thats caused so many problems you cant imagine.

Re: If you could change one thing in any Zelda game...

Ah, an interesting topic.
I would have it so that all Zelda games can be played on PC, as I have no nintendo consoles.
I don't think nintendo 64 and GBA emulators are consoles.

I would change the CD-I games into...dust. Their crap and worthless games.

Sticking to the true zelda games, I would change...nothing. If you change a great game, like OoT, it could be hated like the CD-I games.

Okay, maybe the length of TMC.

I think I would change some of the music selection in FSA, though alot of the music was already very good. Eg. I'd enjoy hearing a remixed version of gerudo valley for the desert of doubt or a variation of Vaati's theme for the palace of winds.

Have to be small inconsistencies between games. (Or what i think are inconsistencies) Such as the descrepencies between OoT and ALttP Manula and game

I don't know what to change but the idea of being able to be the villans as a side story thingy would be cool.

Unlike a lot of people, I wouldn't change the time limit in Majora's Mask. I know a lot of people wouldn't either, but people bash it just because of that.

If I would change one thing, it'd be the figurines in Wind Waker. Just a tedious side quest... I much prefer the Seashells in TMC.

If I could change one thing in the Zelda games, I would make more playable characters I do not know why but it would be cool if like you could play as Ganondorf for part of the game!

Re: If you could change one thing in any Zelda game...

Heh, How about an actual timeline, for the whole series, in one of the games if completed 100%.
I'd actually put a figurine gallery in each game with good graphics, I enjoyed the figurine quest- even though I still haven't got the Link figurine cuz my game is glitched. Well there's another thing I'd change in my game.

No, No, No!!!! Thats what seperates Zelda games from other or running games series. There is no defined order. Half the fun is figuring out where everything might or might not fit in the timeline. I think that if i had just played the games as an ordered series, id know about 10% of what i know now. That is due to the fact of analysing statements, events etc. no matter how small or insignificant they may seem.

Mistakenly or cleverly, nintendo always "ask a new question" every time they answer one. f.e the Wind Waker threw up a whole lot of new timeline ideas, further supporting the dual timeliners, but at the same time, it answered questions, such as the triforce DID leave the hero of time when he left for anther world (Termina).

Read number 16 please.

If I could change one thing in any zelda game I would most definately replace the triforce hunt with those two dungeons that were cut in TWW.

I would like all the games that are on the portable game systems to be resleased in a bunddle for the councle users. I have missed out on a lot of LoZ games b/c I don't have handheld game systems.

Re: If you could change one thing in any Zelda game...

I'd like more extras in the second quests(ya know, after you beat the game). Just because extras are cool.

I'd also like a change in the series where you could play co-op if you wanted with a second main character(not a purple copy of link).

OR...

instead of 2-player co-op, I would like it where you could play as another character in certain parts in the game(like everybody thinks zelda might be partly playable in TP; or like in Paper Mario when you played as peach sometimes). Maybe you could play as Midna by herself sometimes, but I doubt it.

I want that beeping noise gone(when your hearts are low). Though it does give a good sense of urgency, I want something that doesn't make me want to utterly destroy the sound system in my TV.

Okay, I put a lot of changes down(and I can probably think of more), but I'm pretty content with zelda as it is anyway.

Man, TSA sure has an odd sense of humor. Well, he does share my hate for noobs, so we've got that trait in common. Oh, and Mr. Perfect made at least three grammatical errors on that page. Yeah, way to go TSA. World's greates Zelda speed runner can't even spell "folks" right. He spelled it "foks", just so you all know.

Edit: I'd change nothing. If I were to change something about a Zelda game, then they'd all end up screwed up.

Re: If you could change one thing in any Zelda game...

If I could change anything about a Zelda game...

1.) I'd restore the original game manual and ingame text for Link's uncle in the GBA version of "A Link to the Past". ("Zelda is your..." responsiblity now? Anyone? Seems like so much fuss over such a dumb little thing and the new text just seems forced)

2.) I'd change the backstory to "The Wind Waker" to be more ambiguous so that it could be viewed as the chronological "end" to the old series. (Since the idea of a new Hyrule being named after long forgotten locations and at the same time being in 'generally' the same places just seems dumb to me)

3.) I would alter two pieces of text in ALttP: The essence of the Triforce would no longer say Ganon was "totally destroyed" and the caption for the last scene with the Master Sword would just say, "The Master Sword sleeps again..."

4.) I would add in the original 'tales' of Mountain People apparantly mentioned in the SNES version of ALttP.

I suppose aside from those small twiques to the text in some of games I would not change a whole lot. They are very well made as they are and changing them over such small things is nit-picking.

OH!

I would give Link brown tights and sleeves in OoT because I think they look better.
