Just how old are these people?

I was asked the question recently of how old the various Link's and other characters are in the Zelda World...I've heard a lot of different answers to this question - So at this point I'm looking for additional clarification.

Anyway - if you have an answer - great! If you have a source for your answer...better!

Specifically -

Link in all the games
Zelda - All games (this includes Tetra)
Malon
Anju
Romani
Cremia
Kafe (whose name I never spell right)
Impa
The Happy Mask Salesman (random guesses welcome)

why is zelda 10-40? i only played OOT, MM, and TWW so maybe it was in the other games. but y forty? well in oot i know that link was 10, then he became 17. and zelda was 12 then she became 19

Zelda is the one I would argue about. I would say shes about 29 still looking fairly young and all. And in ocorina of time atfirst she was 10.

i thought i posted....Its because in Tp its the same zelda in oot and we dont know how old she is...so im guessing around 40 but she still is able to keep her fair skin...

I wouldnt say 40. I would say she is about the same age as if not a tad bit older than Link in Oot. So I would say she was about somewhere in the 17-20 range. In windwaker it says that Link was the same age as the Origional hero of time(Link from Oot) when he first set off on his quest. Now if memory serves me correct that would be abou 7 years old.


Now that I think of it, it must have sucked for Ganon to get his but kicked by two 7 year olds in TWW.

I always thought that Anju was older... maybe because in ocarina of time she was called the 'cucco lady' and not the 'cucco girl.' I would say she's in her early thirties, and probably went to some kind of Hyrulian/Terminian finishing school, she's always so well poised! We never see Kafei as an adult so it would be useless to guess what his true age is.

No ages are ever said officially, but link is usually about 10

Where the hell did you guys hear that TP zelda was OOT zelda? Because that's in no way confirmed.

Generally, Zelda is close in age to Link in all of the games.

Actually in MM Link is 11. It takes place a few months after OoT.

Excuse me, but where have you heard that this is the same Zelda? She'd be in her sixties if it were the same Zelda. (That is, if Nintendo is correct about TP taking place a few decades after OoT. Which leads me to think that a certain character is in fact the original Link.)

10 years old seems right for young link in OoT, but Link in WW seems older than 10. but what about 13? that would make sence becasue in 7 years he would be exaclly 20.

I would agree with that, but why would a ten-year-old female rule an entire pirate crew of men? She has to be 14 at the least.

Well, the pirate guarding Tetra's room (who's name escapes me atm) says she was actually a younger lady, probably in her 20s. I woul expect her to be in her teens in OoT. Malon is young and playful probably 10, making her 17 after Link pulls up the Master Sword.

Kafei, despite his looks, is actually an older person (haven't you guys actually read the text on that side-quest?), most likely in his 20s, like Anju.

Her mother was captain, but she died, so Tetra became captain. It's stated in the game that she is extremely young for a captain. Zelda is always about the same age as link, except for in AOL where she's actually LOZ zelda's ancestor.

MM is a few months after, not a year. He's probably 11.

Yes, but her mother may have been captain, but if that really did happen, someone would step in until the desendant of the old captian was of age. And plus, she calls Link "kid".

That's to show that she believes herself to be superior to link. So she calls him kid, even though they are the same age.
