Why do you play Zelda?

Why do you play Zelda? My reason is because that it has fun dungeons, puzzles, it makes you use your mind and that it has the best story lines ever. What are your guys' reasons?

Because it fills the void in my life and gives it meaning. No, not really. Hm... Well, I had ALttP for the SNES as a kid, so it just seems natural to like the games. They're the best games made, in my opinion. I guess I play them because they're good.

My neighbor had LA and since I first played it I have been hooked ever since and 'cause I like killing this over and over and over....

watched people play OoT, and it looked like a very good game... I didn't have a N64 at the time, but I did end up getting it.

I got LA for the gameboy to cut the waiting down for an N64. Beat that game first, then got the N64.

And I got OoT shortly after. I still play the game too.

And I became a fan. Found ZU. And the rest, as they say, is history.

I grew up with Zelda. It is the only game I am partial to. Zelda also helped me meet a lot of my current friends. Other then that, it just a fun game. Fun fighting style, fun puzzles, everything about it is great.

Let me answer your question with another one: Why not?

But the real reson is, just the over all gameplay and feel. It feels smooth when you move link or epona areund. Also, the puzzles arn't too difficult, or too easy (Sometimes), so that satsfys me.

I only got into Zelda because of games magazines. I had my 'cube for a year, and i was looking at what game to buy. All the reviews for TWW were fantastic! So I bought on the day of release, and... that was it. I was sucked into Zelda. It's amazing, isn't it? What some people say is the worst Zelda just because of the graphical style, got me into it. And then I played the OoT bonus disc! I was GOBSMACKED!!! It was the best thing ever! I like Zelda because it's opened up a new world for me. Before Zelda, all I knew was that life was just one harsh blow after another, but then I realised, it's not all bad. ZELDA RULES!!!!!

after choosing to buy a N64 rather than a PSX (with disaprovements from father), I had found the legendary golden catridge in a local second-hand store. Since then, I had been sucked into the world, 6 years ago that was... And now, I've played every zelda par the first, links adventure, game and watch, and Oracle of seasons.

Lets just say this: my whole life's existances meaning is to play zelda. I have found nothing else to its comparison in life.

wow, my father really like nintendo compared to playstation, he always like mario, i dont know why, my brother was the one who dissaproved, he was also the one who got me into zelda..

oh no, its just that he thought it would be more beneficial if we rented the games from blockbusters or somewhere and BURNT them... lame i know but hey, he thought quantity, I wanted quality

Its unlike most game because it has so many aspects to it. Its not just fighting, but like every genre somehow. well not every, but alot.

As I was a child I watched my dad play it. I thought that I wanted a piece of the action myself. I had nightmares as a kid but as I got older and played it it's a s if I was concoring zelda and now it's my buddy. Except majors mask. Time limits will never ever be my buddy.

Basically, something to do. Ah, I'm not really absorbed by Zelda like I was. I like it still, but there are bigger fish in the sea. But yeah, when I do play Zelda, it's because I'm tired of my other games and want something to pass time.

Its a classic story of adventure, heartache, bickery, and bonding. it has a beautiful plot and gives a mood and feeling unlike any other RPG! its deep and moving and is the kind of game that makes you think. it also reminds me of celtic history and holds a lot of celtic symbolic ideas in it. judging that im a celt...usually i might be interested in ideas like that!

... You're joking, correct? That statement was totally commercialized, and I doubt Zelda games display any of those traits.

I play Zelda because it is one of a kind. One reason I like it is because it doesn't have a stupid battle scenario *cough* FF....Second I like how the combat system works. You fight there and then, and all of your items are right there on the spot. Another reason is that it is one of the very few games that actually have some complexity in the game. Puzzels, sometimes hard fights, ect. Except WW...WW didn't have complexity....Anyways, I like Zelda alot because you actually get to use your brain. I like Zelda cause it's a challenge. Hopefully in he future, they make it more challenging...Unlike now. Where Zelda games seems to get easier and easier.

I like Zelda because they provide great games, which are getting harder to find these days. Zelda is nearly the only gaming series that you need to think about to complete certain areas i.e. Dungeons/Temples and puzzles. I was always looking for a game that would last, and Links Awakening was the game. Pity i never really got into Zelda until i played Ocarina of Time in 1999.
