The most vicious moments in Zelda

I was replaying the end battle with Ganondorf in WW, and I saw how brutally he beat the crap out of Link before he took the TF of Courage, and I was wondering, what do you guys think it the most vicious barbaric thing you've seen in a Zelda game? Stuff that makes you go, "Holy crap that had to hurt!"

Nothing. Zelda isn't vicious or barbaric unless the only other games you have played were Mario and Pokemon.

WW Link getting slammed into a wall twice, and OoT Link getting his butt kicked by Bongo Bongo.

True, but there's gotta be something, a boss battle, a really high fall, that made you cringe when you hit.

I remember in OoT when I dived off on the Gerudo Valley bridge to get down to the platform. Link plowed head first onto the ground. Ouch. I think Morpha throwing Link onto a wall of spikes would hurt pretty bad too, but it usually threw him over the spikes into the wall.

Whenever Link hits any one of the bosses, I think getting hit in the eye with an arrow/sword, or being hooked with a longshot and getting pulled. It didn't make me cringe but when I think about it that would be the worst IMO.

I've just reailsed, that despite the 'Medieval' feel to the games, and especially with the swordplay and such - there are hardly any viscious moments if at all in many of the games. ^^;

If I had to mention one moment that stuck out in particular, it would be Stabbing Ganon in the face with those little flecks of green 'blood' when he is pinned down.

Now I look at the Zelda series as a whole, it dosen't have any graphical signs of violonce as I would have expected, like where;

Um...no. Sorry, you are talking to someone who goes to Rotten.com for fun. Nothing in an E rated Nintendo game makes me cringe.

Zelda is generally not too violent. Link falling from high altitudes and Ganon's little stab in the head are probably the ones that are going to net that title. There isn't even a little "breaking of such and such part" noise given to Link's sucidial jump, so eh.

I hated it when I was adult link and I fell from a really high point like the ladder in the fire temple. I just cringed when he hit rock bottom. Also when I like you said got smaked around in windwaker. Actualy that made me more angry than cringed.

Yeah, definately Ganon whacking Link around in WW... that was cruel... I'm suprised Link wasn't unconsious, heh heh... Zelda was pathetic, she took one hit and fell unconsious... I believe. It didn't make me cringe, but I was all like "oh my god how could he do that?!?" I thought that was pretty mean...

Well, it wasn't violent, but I cringed when King Zora moved over to let you through to Jabu Jabu... I wonder how Ruto got back there? Another thing that made me cringe was the noise made when you hit the "walls" in Jabu Jabu's belly/dungeon, that always made me want to gag.

One thing for me was the WW boss battle with Gohma, one time, a got in the way of her claw coming down to the ground at about 100mph, and it hit me into the lava. OWWWWEEEE!!!

Definately when you stab Ganon in the head in WW.

I was like, "OOOOOH! JEEZ! GOSH THAT MUST HAVE HURT!".

I hate those things. I just have a headache after seeing those sort of things.

I think when the moon falls on top of clock town and everything catches on fire and link dies.

That might hurt, I'll have to check up on that!
