Ocarina Songs

Hey,

I know how to play just about every zelda song on my ocarina. I decided it would be cool to post a few of them online.

I went out and bought a cheep microphone so that I could record some songs on my ocarina. Please keep in mind that the microphone sucks, the room im in sucks, and my computer makes noise and background noise....which sucks...

Some songs are louder than the rest, turn it down first, then take the volume up to a nice level. All of these are zelda songs exept one that is from a different Nintendo game. Try to guess what the songs are. Please respond like this:

"Song # , What game, What song"

If there is a song you do not know, just skip it. (I realize the name may be in the song title...please do not cheet)

Remember, these are not very good quality songs, so turn your speakers down first!

Wow that's very good, but I couldn't make out song 8. Can you please tell me what song that is. Also on song 17 (Epona's Song) it sounded a little too high on some of the notes. Everything else was fantastic! All the others songs I could tell what they we. So clear! Like listen Link himself playing it .

Are the song names in WMP when you open it...i thought they were...guess not.

Song # 8 is requiem of spirit from OOT

Song # 17 is not eponas song, perhaps that is why you thought it was too high. Its zeldas lulaby.... (yes, it is kinda distorted, i repositioned the mic during this one...didn't work)

Could you tell what 18 was?

Hmm, must have been away from OOT longer then I thought . I still can't figure out what song 18 was .

Song 18 is the closing theme to Mario 64 is it not?

Yes, you are very good. But can you make an echo on your ocarina? (Note, I only listened up to song three). Maybe if you added your own personal touch to the songs it'd be much more entertaining. Just a thought...

I don't quite understand what you mean by Echo....like upulsate between notes?

remember, this mic i had was absolute crap. It didn't pick up any echo, and made the music sound a bit distorted.....thats the best mic i got....

The problem with ocarinas are that no two ocarinas sound exactly the same. Depending on the mold and shape, a different pitch is assosiated with it.

General ochestrial ranges have been made, to enable the ocarina to be played with other instraments though.

Nice Job It sounds great!.. I've been playing Zelda songs on my ocarina too, it's awesome. did you get your ocarina from songbird?

how long have you been playing for?

I got my songbird one about 6 months ago. Not sure when I got the spencers one....i think in october or november. I got realy good with the songbird one, and was naturaly good with the spencer one.
