Gee, that was obvious. I knew that as I get NP, but it was very obvious. plus, your spoiler tag isn't working.

They also gave Resident Evil 4 2nd place and Wind Waker 4th (I think). I think Wind Waker should be more like 100th place and RE4 more like 50th place. I never agree with NP because they are so bias it makes me sick. I cannot believe Super Mario Bros. didn't make the top 10.

But I agree that OoT is the greatest. It is arguably the greatest game of all time as well.

I believe Super Mario Bros. is the all time best Nintendo game. It basically helped to make Nintendo a household name. And that's all I have to say about it.

Exactly! That is why I think it is so stupid that it wasn't even in the top 10 when RE4 and TWW were. I mean, they are good games, but come on! They are not even close to being in the top 5 or even top 10.

I think it defenitely deserves it. Although there are certainly a number of titles which give it good competition.

Exellent choice, it is and one of the most sold Nintendo games of all time. I would give super Mario 64 second place.

Yeah OOT was number one in the UK countdown of the 150 greatest games... I wonder how the top 5 differ in US and UK?
The UK top five were:
5.Metroid Prime
4.Super Smash Bros. Melee
3.Super Mario 64
2.Pokemon (the series as a whole)
1.The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Bear in mind that some more recent games may not have been released due to the UK being a grimy filth-ridden place with no priority for gamers in general.

Well, if Wind Waker was 4th, we know that as one difference.

I'm surprised only one Metroid game made the top 5. And it just so happened to be Metroid Prime? Tell me, did Super Metroid make the top 10? It should have, as it is arguably the greatest Metroid game of all time.

Not a huge fan of Super Mario Bros. (don't get me wrong, I do own it, and love it), I was more into Super Mario World. Super Mario World was better in so many ways, to name a few-

Graphics
Length
Gameplay
Framerate
Overall fun

Basically, it was just so much funner to play. It lasted longer, it was better looking, it had more secrets. In all, I just loved it a lot more.

Anyhow, I'm not too thrilled with the results. But anyhow, what I'd like to see atleast in the top 20-

Super Mario World
Super Metroid
Metroid Prime 2 (I liked it better than 1)
Majora's Mask (I liked it better than OoT)
ALttP
And Super Smash Bros Melee. This is my second favorite game ever (second only to Super Mario World)

Of course I'd like to see OoT, Super Mario Bros, and the other goes-without-saying ones, but I didn't add them because it seems as if they've already made it.

I do agree that Super Mario World is way better than Super Mario Bros., but SMB is known as the most revolutionary video game of all time. I was expecting it to be in the top 3.

That's true, and I'm sure that's exactly why everybody is defending it. The game was phenominal, and it gave Nintendo a mascot. Gotta love the classics.

But I still prefer Super Mario World.

P.S. With the forum update, they added a new skin- Green. Try it everybody, it looks way better than the others!

Some of these i don't agree with, I think Link's Awakening was better than the Oracle Games and Alttp is better than TWW, though don't get me wrong, I wouldn't even be on this forum without TWW.

I'm glad my games made top 15, however, Super Metroid at 20th?! And TWW is higher than it?! That disgusts me! And RE4 being in second place?! Where are the voter's priorities? RE4 was probably the funnest game I've played in 3 years (I think it deserves the '05 game of the year, the only game funner than that was Starfox 64), but it by no means deserves Nintendo's #2 game. In fact, it's not even a Nintendo game. It's on a Nintendo console, but Nintendo didn't develope it, and now, with Capcom being a liar, it's not even excluzive to Nintendo's console (want to read a funny article about that? Click the Gamecube Guy link in my sig)!

Atleast EGM's #1 console of all time was the NES. I guess you could consider that consolation for this catastrophe.

I'm not surprised, but I disagree. I think that at least LoZ and ALttP deserves to be place before OoT. LoZ is the game that started it all, and a revolution (no OoT was NOT in any way a revolution) and ALttP is longer and harder than OoT. Well, okay, it does take longer time to beat OoT. I was referring to the number of dungeons.

Besides, if ALttP had been a 3D game it would have most certainly taken longer time to complete.

ocarina of time? yes, that seems like a good choice. However super mario brothers should be higher as should super metroid. Resident evil 4.... played a bit of it, its way too much overrated.

Mario Bros. 3 should definately have been in the top 5. It was complete and utter perfection reached in a platformer.

Y'know, maybe they should have had seperate countdowns for each console generation? Cause the new skool gamers are mad if their games aren't on there, and the old skool gamers are similarly mad if their games aren't recognized. When you think about it, it is very hard to compare them fairly.
