Tingle: Like him or Hate him

Do you like tingle? Some people think he is cute, some people think he is annoying, some people hate him, some people love him, some people don't care as long he helps them win a zelda game, which one do you pick?

Though I hate him more than any other Zelda game, I don't despise him merely because I cannot beat WW or OoA without him and his overpriced maps. If I didn't need him, his blood would stain my blade within an instant.

Hate him. He's an annoying stupid psychophant obsessed with becoming a fairy, and he thinks that you can help him... And I hate how Nintendo really likes him in games, and likes you having interact with him. Like in tMC: You can't fuse all kinstones unless you want to endure Tingle, and then you can't get the Magic Boomerang either.

And that "Tingle Tuner" in Wind Waker, that was just lame.

I've never been really fond of Tingle ever since I first saw him in Majora's Mask. I've found him to be equally disturbing & annoying. If I didn't need him & his insane overcharges for translating those maps in Wind Waker, he too would have tasted steel. I mean a middle aged man who thinks he's a fairy? Isn't there laws against that?

P.S. The two questions were all in gest, merely to express an inkling as to how disturbing I think Tingle is.

Tingle, first you trick me by letting me buy overpriced maps in town while I can get them for half at the place it self!
Then you charge me freaking thousands of rupees to get the maps translated!
And that's not all you force others to dress up like you and let them do labour!

Personally, i find him a source of disturbing overly-camp entertainment, i mean c'mon who didn't laugh when they heard 'tingle-tuner' i mean really...

The hate is blown out of proportion to the extent of Jar Jar single handedly messing up the Phantom Menance. The movie wasn't great, but laying all the blame on Jar Jar is too silly. As for Tingle? I find him a very fun and eccentric character. I don't find very awkward in the atmosphere at all, something that kind of seperates Jar Jar and Tingle. I personally hope he makes more appearences and takes up a new role of sorts.

Tingle’s alright. He reminds me of something that is like half a clown, and half a deformed fairy. I just randomly start laughing whenever I see him pop up. I have to admit that his appearance is a bit disturbing at times.

Tingle is very annoying...He was ok and reasonably likeable in MM.
But in TWW and every other game...He's just plain annoying.

If he's in TP it will be Nintendo's downfall (Ok so maybe not THAT dramatic =P)

He is scary, freaky and I don't like him. A 35 year old man with a green gimp suit and red trunks? Is he into some kind of weird stuff?I think he came from some kind of institution. I feel so sorry for his father. And then like its not enough, there are four of them in WW!! If they put him in another game I'll start therapy, haha

Meh, he is ok. I mean he's just a little elf guy who sells maps. How can you possibly hate him?

Particularly in Majora's Mask, I find Tingle to be among the more unique, more pleasing characters to meet in the game. On top of being bloody helpful -- we'd be lost without his maps -- Tingle intrigues the imagination and offers comic relief.

I don't hate him, I find him as the one who gives comic relief, and actually am okay with him in all games but WW. Seriously, in the other games he's appeared in you don't need to speak with him, it just helps. The 'Kooloo-Limpah' was funny when I first heard it. Mainly I only poke fun at him in Sprite comics. Only thing that pisses me off: That suction-cup noise when he walks. Meh, the prices for deciphering maps? Not so much. (Heh, i'm not far enough to hate him for that yet.)

I realize Tingle is a complete nerd, that he is totally creepy, and that he should grow up, but come on! In MM he sold you maps. Maps! One of the Most useful items out there. In WW he translated charts for you. Charts! Essentail for completing the game. Though I can understand not liking him, there's no reason for hating him. And there you go.

Tingles cool.
Especially that dance "Hah, Yoh! Tuning PAH!"
he's also helpful.

I mean, the tingle tuner was a joke. At least you could get a map or two from him in MM.

Yeah, I found Tingle rather annoying in WW. Still, I did get some useful hints from the Tingle Tuner when I was stuck - such as how you had to stand on that spring platform in the Wind Temple using the Iron Boots.

The thing is, unlike Navi, Tatl and Ezlo, you can just 'switch off' Tingle when he becomes annoying. Now, if only you could do that with the other three...

i think tingle is incredibly dumb. hes anooying, and he takes all my money. lol, i mean his charecter is potrayed really badly, but the idea of having a side charecter in the games is good... but tingle is just annoying for that spot. maybe if they made a more "simple" person.
