There's a movie!

Hey, great news! There IS a Zelda movie being made! You can find out about it on the Ganon's Tower website. It's called "LINK" and it's PG 13. I saw a clip from it on the website and it looks pretty cool, even though the movie doesn't have OoT Link, which is what I was hoping. I'm not sure if Link is going to talk, but I really hope he does. I've always wanted to hear him say something besides screams and yells. I suggest you see the clip I saw and tell what you think about it. It was the one at the top of the list of clips being made, I think. It was a clip of Link rolling under a door to get through it before it closed. I thought the movie looked pretty cool. Also don't worry, it's animated.

I've seen it and until he releases the trailer (which'll be very soon) I'm worried, he's got lots of elements from the horrible cartoon back in the 80's yet he claims its going to be nothing like it, and there's a clip from the trailer and link looks like ****.

Well I love the idea of a Zelda Movie. If I were to direct one, I'd make sure Link talked and I'd make sure of other things. Oh I hope Link talks in this movie. I've always wanted to hear him, like I said before.

There are lots of fanworked movies being made. I don't think Nintendo will accept any of them though. Fans aren't supposed to make canon work for anything...

Yes, but Morris e-mailed Nintendo and asked, and they said sure. So yes, it would be able to be... legal, I guess. So he can actually make the movie. I can't find it anymore, but at one point in the updates, it did say somewhere the letter to Nintendo, and the reply he got back.

This is stupid. Zelda wasn't meant to be made into a movie. It ruins the game in a sense. If they screw it up, or make Link look like THAT, i'd rather watch Barney: The Movie.

I found the page of it but the link of the movie shows the progress chart.

Does anyone even believe a Zelda movie would be good? I mean, have you ever watched a video game-based movie? With the exception of the first Mortal Kombat, they are all essentially trash.

http://www.ganonstower.com/movieprogress.shtml at the very bottom of his page is the small clip from his upcoming trailer and I think Link looks like crap in it, yet for some reason the pictures of link made by him in his art section http://www.ganonstower.com/joeart.shtml are good, also I don't like the elements from the cartoon he's included.

He's not going to make the Zelda movie, if it is made. Maybe he can sell the story to Nintendo, or something, but now that Nintendo are going to start making movies it will be they who will make it.

Personally, I think it's better if Nintendo makes it. Unless this Joe Morriss is an expert on the Japanese games, I'm sure it would be full of errors.

to be honest i dont think link should speak at all, ive always liked the idea of link as a quiet Hero

Unfortunatly I was on another site a month ago and it had the picture that's at the bottom of this page http://www.ganonstower.com/movie.shtml and they said that they were friends with Joe Moriss (don't know wether to believe them or not) and that they had the script from the scene in that picture and Link talks, I wouldn't mind if in the movie he talked but less than the other characters but no, it looked like he talks non stop, and guess what he was talking about, that's right how much he loves Zelda (ffs here we go again at least this time he won't say excuuuuuuse me princess) also I hope that other elf kid isn't Link's son or something, that's the exact crap I expect from the cartoon, which he seems to be copying.

Nobody seems to think this besides me, but I think it's funny in the first episodes of the Zelda cartoon how Link is kind of perverted.

As for Joe Morriss's film, I have a bit more faith in his project working out. He really seems to know what he's doing, as opposed to this guy.

As for the actual animation and for speech, it seems that some of the old news has been removed from that page. I specifically remember a small, three-or-four-line example of the script that Mr. Morriss put up, in which Link spoke.
I think he also said once that he would not be doing the animation himself.

As for the supposed cartoon references, just because he is using the old-school style looks for the characters does not make it anything like the cartoon.
Believe it or not, and despite how much I love the game, there was Zelda before OoT.
