Secrets (Maybe)

Okay, 1st off, couldn't find much close to this thread, sorry if it's already here. Alright, to the point of this thread, if you have a somewhat lesser known fact of the games, post, but do not post if it is already here. For my secrets, some are somewhat widely known, others less. Skipping dungens by taking the item dosen't count, it isn't a "skip", you were there.

Link's Awakening:

*When you are dieing (circling), if you quickly press A B Select Start (my order) you can save without your death registering

*With the pegesus boots, you can force your way into lv. 8 (turtle rock) before lv. 7 (Eagle's tower).

*You can enter lv. 8 before defeating the turtle head. Just walk into the neckhole.

*If you press start immeadiatly after grabbingan acorn of defense or a piece of power, you can skip the text. Warning! Your screen may flash and turn white without the ability to do anything except listen to music.

Orcarina of Time:

*You can do Fire Temple before forest temple.

I don't have any more, yet. Please share your secrets.

Wind Waker

*In the Ice Circle, if you fall into the water, you don't have to save and quit. You float over to the landing and use the wooden poles sticking off the wall to get up.

Acually you can complete every temple without beating the boss and just move on to the next temple and do the same. You may have to use a gameshark to get to the Shadow Temple through the levitation code. But yeah I've done that and I beat all the temples but not the bosses. that way I can go and fight those guys whenever I want in what order I want. Pretty cool, huh.

In OoT, if you play the Sun's Song or the Song of Storms in certain spots, giant fairies that appear to have no wings, pop out. They are too big to fit in bottles though. And they replenish your health, just like other fairies do.

That's no secret; Zelda games are not completely linear, offering the player opportunity to explore and do things not in the most apparently ordered way.

OoT:

If you get the Zora Tunic and Iron Boots then enter the Forest Temple you can skip one or two things by using said items to go through the well.

in majoras mask if youre doing the kafei quest you can force your way into sakons hideout anytime during the third day, and finish it hours before sakon arrives... i dont think kafei gets to the inn anytime sooner though...

If you have a gameshark or an action replay and you select the levitation code for OoT, use that ability to enter the Geredo Fortress as a child. Go up to treasure chest on top of the fortress where theres usualy a heart piece. Instead there will be a magic mushroom just like the one you get from the old bum in the Lost Woods as an adult. Even weirder is that you can do the Biggoron Sword Quest twice by getting this second secret shoom here. Its really strange that it exists in that chest in the past but not in the future, however the heart piece is located sitting in the lookout balcony above the prison cell in the past. This is really strange...

In OoT if you use a gameshark and give yourself the golden gauntlets then as an adult go to the desert collosus, levitate up and grab the chest that has the silver gauntlets, the side you can only get to as a child. Open the chest and take the silver gauntlets, now instead of gold it goes back down to silver.

Fierce Diety Glitch in Majora's Mask

You can become Fierce Diety outside of boss battles by exploting a certain glitch. It only works in the golden catridge, since these things were probably corrected. I can't remember if this was related to the actual glitch either, but you can enter Sakon's hideout earlier than the third night by rolling into the right crack until you reach a certain angle(I can confirm this if this sounds iffy). You will go through the wall. Quickly jerk the control stick to the left so it seems like Link has entered another area. If not, it will appear as Link has drowned and you will respawn outside Ikana Canyon. Anyways, once you are inside-- regardless of the time, I think you will automatically proceed to the third night. Make sure to equip Link with any mask besides the Keaton mask. Once Kafei starts to go for the conveyor belt and it switches to his respective, replace the equipped mask with the Fierce Diety. Once control shifts back to Link, he'll automatically transform. Finish the event. You'll be outside again as Fierce Diety Link. The main entrance to Ikana will be barricaded by the gate, but you can still get to Termina Field by falling into the waterfall(try looking at the river by the Canyon). That will take you down to Woodfall and you can make your way to Clock Town from there. At this point, make sure not to talk to any of the Bombers or the game will freeze up. Also, if FD Link enters any of the houses-- he'll become stuck since the image of him is too tall to get past the door. Well, that's what I have to share.

All you have to do is explore the temples, get the items you need, and go to the next dungeon. I've tried it on OoT, but it messes up the game...

I can name a couple spots where you can get to the giant fairies I talked about earlier. There's one in the Royal Family's Tomb, one in the Shadow Temple, and one at Lake Hylia. Navi will fly to those spots where the giant fairy is and then you need play either the Sun's Song or the Song of Storms.

Could you elaborate a little bit? I've finished Jabu Jabu before Dondogo Cavern(sp?), but nothing seems to be iffy with that. Interchanging the Spirit Temple and Shadow Temple dosen't seem to have an effect either.

That kind of stuff shouldn't mess up your game, why would it? It doesn't change any data around or something.

Oh and I can't confirm Forst Guardians trick above but I can say that it is real, as I have done it many times before. Except I've been able to go into buildings, Fierce Deitys legs just disappear into the ground and the bottom of his torso becomes connected to the ground, the he just opens the door and walks in.

I have a trick too, in Majoras Mask in file 1 save at clock town south, then in file 2 save while riding on Epona at Milk Road. Go open up file 1 now and you'll be riding Epona! It could be the other way around with the files but that's not a big deal. Here's my own little trick to that I tested, do the sam thing as said above but instead save as Deku Link in Clock Town. When you open that file up you will probably be riding Epona as a Deku! Don't get off or you can't get back on her as a Deku, and don't press be to use your bow and arrow, you can and Deku Link will shoot arrows from a bow, but you won't be able to turn Epona in any direction. The trick doesn't work as a Goron or Zora, I've tested it, but feel free to try. Can't confirm this but it's real.

Ocarina of Time:
If you're catching a fish, in mid swing, press pause and change the bottle that your using to another item and you get a new bottle where that item used to be. Do not put it over the Ocarina of Time though, as it messes the game up.

Get the Fire Arrow early in OoT

First, get the Scarecrow's Song as Adult Link & the Longshot. Shoot the sun at sunrise as normal & the Fire Arrow will be created. Get as close to the platform where it landed as you can without falling off the platform with the water warp pad, then play the Scarecrow's Song to make the Scarecrow come up. Shoot the Longshot at it & it should be long enough to hook, bringing you to the Fire Arrow.

In Alttp you can skip the two dungeons after the first one in the dark world and get the titan's mitts early. Just get the hammer go to the woods in the light world, hammer the sticks and lift the rock to get in the portal. Then get out of the woods in the dark world and go to the village of outcasts then go to the dungeon.
