Link and his skirt

I am tired of people saying that link is gay beacause he wears a skirt. I keep telling people that think like this that in medieval times men wore skirts and they keep on with their stupidity. post your opinions of why link wears a skirt. eaven though that if they put pants on him it'l change everything.

It's not a skirt, it's a tunic.

Re: Link and his skirt

Yep Sasuke-kun is right. If you want them to stop making fun of link's "skirt" then tell them theyre dumbasses and its a tunic. You can also tell them that the tunic was casual wear that was extremely popular in Greece, Rome and the rest of Europe for around 2000+ years. Tell them if they think that it is gay then they must think that everyone was gay 1000 years ago.

Re: Link and his skirt

Have you played any zelda games? In OoT it says blue or zora tunic, not skirt. One more thing, do you have better grammer? Have capitals, correct spelling, and commas if needed.

Hes from the Dominican Republic and hes typing in english on a Zelda forum. Dont act like a jackass and call him off on his spelling, it only makes you look like a jackass.

Re: Link and his skirt

Wait...Links not gay? No one told me. Who would've known?

As you can see a tunic is a shirt that extents past the waist and gives off a 'skirtish' feel to it. It is the one indivdual overshirt. A tunic.

See.

Re: Link and his skirt

These people are just inside-the-box thinkers that believe country men have always worn bluejeans.

Re: Link and his skirt

If Link were gay, then why is he not wearing a pink floral pair of shoes with matching dress and having a tea party with Gannon? If that happened, THEN he would be gay. And it is a tunic, not a skirt, pay attention in history people! It's good for your brain! People that say he wears a skirt are basically saying that Robin Hood wore a skirt, which would be wrong.

Ummmm... Since now? But really, if you saw a guy wearing a true skirt, NOT a tunic, would you say that he is gay? I would, or that he was on the wrong end of a little sisters idea of "fun".

Well, there's kilts.

I hardly give a crap about those people. Most people's understanding of historical culture suck. And I don't care to bother.

Re: Link and his skirt

the main reasons that tunics look like skirts is because of the belts that are worn over them. i mean think about it, if link didn't have a belt or other equipment, it would just look like he's wearing a long shirt.

Re: Link and his skirt

yeah, it's definetly a tunic, but you can't tell me that Saria's outfit is also a tunic, cause she wears shorts and it would be hell to put it on.

Hey! There is a big difference between a kilt and a skirt! Guys wear kilts, girls wear skirts! Also, I believe that the material is completely different between the two!
