How about a movie?

I've been thinking, wouldn't it be great if they made a Zelda movie? I mean, so many Zelda games have been made and I thought maybe it was time for something different to happen. I bet all the fans would go wild if this happened. Since everybody likes OoT so much, the characters could look like they do in that game and Link could even meet someone new. And what's more, we'd get to hear him talk(it wouldn't make sense if he didn't talk in a movie). It would be animated too because it would be more Zelda-ish if it were animated. Wouldn't this be great? I'd like to know some thoughts on this one! Oh and by the way, I think my fanfic would make a pretty good Zelda movie. I just need some opinions from others. I haven't posted it yet but when it is everybody can read it and tell me their opinions.

I heard there is one being made but i dunno if that's true. If what i heard was right it was OoT in a trilogy unless i was dreaming...which i have been known to do before.
I'd personally do what they did with Final Fantasy (not the spirits within) and make a CG movie that's just for fans really as it'd be say after a game or tied in with one.

I hope they don't make a movie. Why risk ruining the great Zelda name with a potentially bad film (like most game -> film conversions are)?

The "Zelda" movie is a low budget movie made by fans of the series. I heard about it many years ago, but I don't know if they're still trying to make it or not.

Hey maybe I didn't make this clear enough. Of course a Zelda movie wouldn't be horrible or ruin the games. Why? They made a cartoon a long time ago and yet it wasn't a success. And that was because there probably weren't very many fans at the time and it just wasn't that good, not to mention how early it was made. If they had waited to make it like until there were more advanced Zelda games than ALttP, LoZ, and LA, it probably would have been a whole lot better. They probably would have made the characters look exactly as they do in OoT. Maybe they should make another cartoon and this time the characters look exactly as they do in OoT and then maybe it would be time for a movie. So just imagine a new Zelda cartoon being made with OoT based characters and settings with whole new plots. Or imagine the movie being made first and then have a new cartoon come from it. I think it would be awsome!(considering OoT is by far the most popular game in the series) So just think about it. And I still think my fanfic would make a pretty good movie.

Only is nintendo(more like miyamoto and Aonuma) is very very and I mean very much invloved in the movie, gfx, story, every thing!

Actually it wasn't successful because it blew cock. Lets all admit that as much as we love Zelda, the cartoon is terrible and not at all like the games. I thought it was funny because of how poorly done it was, I didn't realize people actually took it seriously.

I know I've seen someone on this site say that the creator of Zelda said he would never allow an official Zelda movie to be made and I agree with that. No offense, but I wouldn't want it to be by some fan like yourself, only Miyamoto could oversee this movie for it to have a chance. No matter how good it is, fans will have far too high expectations. I'd like to be able to watch a Zelda movie for what it was, but I don't think I could do that with out comparing it to the games non stop and saying what they should have done. I think Zelda is best as a solid games series, Nintendo knows their limits and what's good for Zelda.

RIDICULOUS! Simply ridiculous. They would never make a Zelda movie that was a remake of the Lord of the Rings. Lord of the Rings was so stupid.

Not any more ridiculous than a Zelda movie based on a fanfic. If they decided to make a movie, which they won't, it would probably be a new adventure, or a back story on one of the games. Even if they did decide to base it on a fanfic, they have a milllion choices. Chances are 10,000,000,000,000:1.

LotR was awesome. Someone named Moviecollin is making an OoT movie. By the looks of it, it looks pretty good.

How would you know? You've never read my fanfic and it's actually very good. It includes a lot of story themes like romance, fantasy, a little bit of mistery, and a little bit of action and adventure too. It has all new dungeons and bosses(they were supposed to have been created by Ganondorf in the story) and Link meets a new friend that plays a really big role in the story. This new character is a heroine who sometimes accompanies Link in this new adventure. Ganondorf came back to seek his revenge on Link and Zelda and to find out what he does, you'll have to read the story when I post it. I'm telling you it's a good story. Why I've even added a few funny parts to make the story even more amusing!

I would suppose he'd talk if there were a movie. Which there shouldn't be. Movie games suck, except for Advent Children, which brings me to the point that if Zelda were done in CGI, and Aonuma/Miyamoto/possibly the rest of Nintendo worked on the plot/script/etc, it could turn out alright. And a movie SHOULD NEVER be based off of fanfiction. *shudders*
