Zelda, nerdy or not?

I've seen nerds on the forums say that they are nerds because they play Zelda. Is this true? People that play Zelda have a life. It's not online. There's no card system. So what makes people think this? By calling Zelda "nerdy", they disgrace it. So they aren't fans.

I definitely do NOT think that playing Zelda makes you nerdy, or a nerd, for that matter. I really think that's not true. I mean, my friends joke about me doing everything Zelda, but they don't go THAT far. But one of my friends, she really likes WW, and she calls me a geek, not a nerd. She calls herself that, too.

I don't see how playing Zelda is nerdy. It isn't nerdy. How could playing Zelda be nerdy? This is just my opinion, but i don't think Zelda is nerdy at all. I think the people who hate Zelda and study 24/7 are the nerds. Come on, Zelda is a game, i play it to get out of the real world. I just don't know why people call it nerdy. Video games are FUN, work is not. Ok i'll stop my little rant now, anyways Zelda isn't nerdy, well not to me anyways.

So, those things justify being a nerd?

I personally don't find Zelda nerdy. Maybe it's on the side of fantasy which ahs been deemed geeky, but why can anybody say that those are nerdy? Can't they see it was a little groundbreaking video game series that many people enjoy? Different strokes for different folks, at any rate.

Zelda is nerdy, but that's a good thing. Yes Zelda players have lives, but that does not mean they are not nerds (nor does playing a certain game make someone a nerd). There are so many definitions of nerd, it doesn't really matter. If you don't want to be a nerd, than you're not. I am a nerd, and proud of it.

Sorry but you got it wrong, people that play video games a lot are considered nerds too. Zelda too. Too get ut of the real world and not using your real life and using it is considererd a nerd. Work is not fun but you have to do it and studing in school will help you tromendously.

Zelda is a game.... Zelda is just like every other game. Its a game....
So if Zelda was nerdy then every other game would be nerdy.

Then you could prob say everyone who plays games are nerds, which is not true. So saying Zelda is nerdy is just stupid.

Or just agree with society. Who says that society thinks zelda is nerdy? Thats really offencesive. You dont respect other peoples opinion well, Really, no offence but your not supposed to stand up for a video game that much. that will make it worse,so your just really asking for it. Nothing can be done about the will of socitey. Im not saying zelda is nerdy though, it depends how you treat it, it can be in my opinion. But it can only be nerdy to individuals. Not to the whole zelda fans or people who like it.

If you call Zelda 'nerdy', then you can pretty much call any game nerdy. It is a game, and people enjoy playing it. If playing a video game is nerdy, then all of my friends are nerds.

Who cares if Zelda's nerdy or if playing it makes you a nerd? Just so long as it's fun right? It's no more nerdy than playing Magic: the Gathering or Exalted or Dungeons & Dragons.

Now obsessing about Zelda may considered nerdy... in which case I'm proud to be a Nayrulian Nerd who thinks Ganondorf is as awesome as Darth Vader & Sauron& sliced bread!

Zelda is not nerdy. I play Zelda, and love it, but I do other things in my life. People who een hint that Zelda is nerdy are just wrong. By their logic, all video games must be nerdy. Is smashing up a skeleton with a shield nerdy? Not the last time I checked. The defence rests.

I don't think Zelda is nerdy. Well, the tv-advertorial for TLoZ was very nerdy...

But nowadays, it's just another game series (that just happens to be brilliant).

I would call anyone who enjoys a game more than real life a Nerd. A lot of people who play MMOs are nerds, although not all of them...

Is nerdy a real word? I think a nerdy game is a game that People enjoy more than real life. For instance, I enjoy Zelda more than real life.

Zelda is, on certain views, nerdy. But only if you play it more than 3 hours a day (like I do ). To me, it's not nerdy. But if you look at me from your view of seeing my play it 3 hours a day, then it's nerdy. Ta daa!

Well no its just a game so you can't really be a nerd for playing it. If you can you can call people who spend hours on Halo or GTA games nerds because they are doing the same thing. You can be called a freak say if you take it too far and go round dressed as Link with a Sword and Shiled shouting "hyaa" at people in the street though.

I just spent two hours playing Four Swords Adventures with my girlfriend earlier today.
