Zelda Land, An Online Zelda Game???

Well as many of you dont know im sure of this, That im making an online zelda game called Zelda Land, Think its impossible? Think again! It is 100% Possible! We are using the Konfuze MMORPG Engine And the game masters are:
Myself (Linkman)
Hunter 0.00
LordArthas (From www.troted.us.tt)
and last but not least: SmithInuyashaMalon

Punishment System:
1st Offense: Kick off server (just have to relog onto the game)
2nd Offense: Jailing (kept in a cell for maximum of 30 minuets. minimum of 5)
3rd Offense: Banish (Its a ban)

Yes it will be preety cool, As of now me and the host (LordArthas) are almost done with the classes theres about 3 classes to chose from when you start: Hylian, Hunter, and Mage.

Each has there ups and downs!

Hylians: Overall a good choice, low in magical strength
Hunters: Good in attack, weak in defense
Mages: Good in magical strength, weak in defense and attack

Will it be Macintosh compatible?

Sounds really good. Might be better with more than one species, and more than three classes, but seems pretty good so far.

That sounds awesome! Will you have to pay for the online capabillity or will the game be freeof charge? Oh and when does it come out?

Sounds like a bad idea. I quote:

This sounds kinda cool to me... never been an online gaming kinda guy but y'know if it's zelda i'll totally take a look-see... but you could do with more characters/races/species (delete as appropriate) otherwise everyone will be a clone called "L/NK" or somethin...

Please note that swearing is not allowed in ZQ, so "WTF" means "what the fudge." However, the mods will do it all the time and laugh at anyone who points out this hypocracy, stating that they are the law and shutting up the player.

All joking aside, it'd be interesting to see a fan-made Zelda MMORPG. However, there's a couple of things I'd like to address.

Classes
I can see how you may be able to start off with 3 classes. However, why is Hylian a class? That's a race (Human, Elf, Dwarf) not a class (Paladin, Mage, Ranger). I think it would help the game if you added races and more classes.

Names
This was one of my problems with Runescape- you need to have restrictions on names if you want people to actually feel like they're in Hyrule. I would hate to be riding along in Hyrule Field and look around to see the young adventure "FlameFreeze09."
Also, don't allow players to create any of the official characters or use the names (or anything similar, like "Leenk"). Let the mods play these characters at the very most.

No, I have absolutely nothing to do with this.
Zelda Quest is just something I made up a few months ago. It's just something to make fun of MMORPG sterotypes and show what a Zelda MMORPG could be like.

As for the rest of the post, they were suggestions for LinkmanX2X's game, Zelda Land. Like I said, I'm not part of the development team, nor have I heard of this game before.

PS- LinkmanX2X, I don't mean to sound rude, but I think it'd be better if you thought of a title other than "Zelda Land." In all honesty, "Zelda Land" sounds a bit cheesy.

I'm sure. Assuming this is true, which I highly doubt it is, you do have the billions of dollars Nintendo will sue you for, right? Because you are in for one hell of a legal ride, trying to copyright anything Zelda-related.

And it is hardly your idea. I have been developing several online Zelda fangames for over two years. I merely choose not to overzealously release a demo which shows nothing of what the final product will be like. That is, assuming you actually get to the final product.

and the problem with that is, with people paying for server stuff, this means you'd be making money off of the Zelda franchise, which you don't have the official rights to produce and sell. you make ANY money off of this (even if it's ONLY used for the server's purposes), and Nintendo will get down on you faster than Michael Jackson when (s)he spots a lone child at the Neverland ranch.

so as long as everything's free for users, like no charging of the monetary variety (or any variety), then you'll be fine, and nottechnically infringing copyright.

and also do hope that Nintendo doesn't catch you in general anyway, as Nintendo hates ANY sort of fangame based on their products. look at Ocarina of Time 2D. i've heard all sorts of stuff about Nintendo trying to shut down TheRealMethuselah's site ever since i heard about the fangame itself.

Well Yeah i see your point with making them pay, Which i wont plan to do unless it IS needed, otherwise Zelda Land will remain a free product for all to play

the full abbreviation of MMORPG is Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.

makes sense too, since most MMORPG's are massive, have lots of other players playing together, is online, and is a roleplaying game. think along the lines of games like World of Warcraft, Star Wars Galaxies, and Guild Wars. the third of which i hear is actually one of the very few MMORPG's that have free online play. like no monthly fees.
