Postcount does not affect you becoming a moderator. Post QUALITY and ACTIVENESS contributes, and making threads like these... does not. I wouldn't get your hopes up, as you are a fairly new member, and the mod roster is quite full at the moment...

Posts have nothing to do with it, really. Aside from showing that you're active, I suppose. The count really doesn't mean much, though.
Members are given moderator status when the current staff decides there is a need for new staff members and chooses those who best fit the job. There've been those upgraded to moderator status who've had less than 500 posts.
