Re: The most suprising moment

Great thread idea!
I think my favourite 'surprising moment' in Zelda was in the game: Ocarina of Time, where, after aquiring the Ocarina of Time from Zelda in the Hylian Market Moat, you went to the back alleys in the Hyrule market, and see the soldier on the ground - he said that the Princess had be waiting for you, but could delay no longer, and then, he 'flopped on the ground'
When Navi said, "He's not moving anymore..." I realised he died - that was the most shocking/surprising moment for me .

Most suprising Zelda moment hmmm.... Probably in WW when the Helmarock King lifts you up and you see those familiar Gerudo robes, complete with ginger beard.

I'd have to say my first cucco attack! I can't remember exact details, but I don't think I survived it.

I have to agree. My first cucco attack was in ALttP in Kakariko village.

Re: The most suprising moment

Mine would be on Wind Waker (I actually prefer not to use the abbriveations (sp?)) when you got down underwater, to the old Hyrule. I had no idea that you could visit Hyrule. Just the utter, dramatic aceness, and black and whiteness overwhelmed me, heh. I really love that game. And that was a pretty surprising moment.

But my most surprising moment in Zelda games. My most surprising moment would normally when you turn into an Adult i Ocarina of Time. But come on, like no-one knew. There was a pic of Adult Link at the back of the bloomin' box! I don't see why people were surprised at that.

Re: The most suprising moment

Gotta say my first WallMaster attack on OoT. After getting the "Monsters on the ceiling" warning from Navi, I stood there like an idiot, looking straight up at the ceiling to try and see the monsters. One groaning sound later, I'm outside the Forest Temple with no idea what just happened. Owned!

I always miss that bit and have never seen it before which i really regret but my most suprising moment is when you see little link suddenly big link for the first time, then hearing his change in voice and movements and stuff. Bit weird.

Re: The most suprising moment

I think the moment it became clear to me that Tetra was Princess Zelda (in TWW, obviously).

Re: The most suprising moment

I think the "surprising moment" for me was on WW when you went under the see and saw how hyrule was under water and frozen in time. And also in OoT when you saw Zora's domain frozen in ice as well.

Re: The most suprising moment

Seeing Link transform into a wolf in the Twilight Princess trailer. And no, that's not a spoiler because if you don't know that Link becomes a wolf in TP yet, then you shouldn't even post at ZU.

I was suprised when I found Nayru's Pearl in TWW. I thought that I had to complete a dungeon before getting it.

In LA after defeating the giant darknut and looking at the stone tablet that said Koholint island was just a dream. The Shiek/Zelda suprise was nice too.

Re: The most suprising moment

For me, it was that Last Parry attack on Ganon in the WW... I'm one of those OVER OBSERVANT people, and by the time the things that surprise mose people happen, i've usually already had 4 or 5 theories and i'm usually right.. (tetra being Zelda, as SOON as she saw links master sword) But wehen Link went up into the air and Smote Ganon, i completely was overwhelmed with Joy!!! Zelda games should be that violent all the time ^_~
