Flash Game Remakes

Hey everyone. I recently started up a Zelda Flash Game site, where we make Zelda Flash games, remakes and original ideas. I hope the site grows and more people join to help make great games. I was making a Zelda Flash game, and realized that there aren't many good ones out there, and so I just decided to start up this site. Better yet, it is hosted by ZU! And if your sick of fan games using the LTTP graphics only, I'll let you know I plan on focusing on the NES game graphics, since I consider those 2 to be the 2 best games in the series, other than LTTP, OOT, etc. (Yeah I won't even lie...). Hope to see some of you there.

I think it's a brilliant idea to bring back the Zelda Flash Games. I'm all for this site. I don't think Nintendo would appreciate you doing this, as it violates their privacy policy and copyright laws.

You don't think they would allow it, even if I give full credit to them for what belongs, and put Zelda copyright rules on every page? And if they don't allow it wouldn't that mean that all fan games are a violation? Eh, that would majorly suck, but oh well . I'll contact them and see what they say. Also, whoever visits, please register for the forums, I want the community to grow as fast as possible so it will be more attractive to visitors. Much appreciated.

wow, great Idea, one complaint, I was playing the duel game, and when my Darknut struck my friends link, it didn't hurt him. Why didn't it hurt him?

Read the front page or the rest of the page with the game. The game isn't completed yet. Like it so far though?

oh, sorry, didn't read those. Yes, it seems to be a solid 2-d flash game from what I've played. Ever considered adding Ganon or Ganondorf?

As a character? No, since I have yet to find a 16x16 Ganon/Ganondorf sprite . I wanted to keep it simulating the original game in a sense, so I didn't put the big ganon sprite in it, since he obviously doesnt have sprites of him walking left, right, up, down, and if I was to put ganondorf in the game it would drag it furthur away from the original feel (Darknut is already shooting swords! rofl) Anyhow, in the future, I might have a game mixing it up with multiple games, and maybe include ganondorf in that one. You want to see him in a duel type game like this, or a single player game?

I have Macromedia Flash MX Professional 2004. *acts hard*

If you have any knowledge with tile based games, or have another talent in MX you think we can use, then excellent, just contact me on email. One other question guys, do you think the controls are alright, arrow keys and space bar for player 1, and wsad and tab for player 2? I can't seem to find a good combo for player 2.

I am not to sure Nintendo will take to kindly to what you are doing but making re-makes shows them that you have a passion for their games and they may approve of the idea.

yeah...i think that re-making games is the highest form of flattery...I mean, how many other Spiro games have you heard of Re-Made? Exactly, only the best are remade
