Zelda Movie

If there was a Zelda movie it would be a scaled down version of OoT and probably just be like LotR when your like wow what a good battle lets just sit through an hour of singing to let it finish!

Personally i liked the way they went with the Final Fantasy Movie but it would be better if it was based on a game, the only problem is length of the movie because people won't like things cut out of the movies.

Well... If we chose actors, It's gonna be difficult to find someone that looks like Link, Zelda and all the other persons. So I prefer that this movie be a 3-D movie.

Only, there is a little video that shows a part of a movie of Zelda in Japan. Apparently, this video was made, but the real movie have never seen the day. So there is this video:

I would prefer a Lord of the rings (trilogy) style of Ocarina of time, really big budget though. Also it would bring out a serious and in depth look that cannot be delivered in video games (or at least the one's we have seen).

How can anime artists stuff up how Link looks? He is an amine character already. I'd be more worried about his appearence in a CGI movie then an anime one. Have you guys seen the anime movie Alice? It was done in a CGI anime style that looked horrible. Nintendo has more prictice making movies that are anime then they do making CGI ones. Plus Anime would be more suited to the Zelda series because the character designs are already anime inspired. Take a look at the artwork in your sig... isn't that manga drawn?

I personally think that this would be best

1. Make a TV series (not a movie)

2. Get an anime studio that knows what they're doing.

Zelda needs to be an anime. CGI just won't work for it.

If they were to base it on a game, I think tWW's a better choice. It's more dramatic and expressive. The part of OoT where you gather the power of the sages was just temple after temple without much of anything else going on.

I, for one, don't believe there will even be a moive, but if there is, it shouldn't be animated.

I would say live action, it would be almost impossible to find a good cast. I suppose if it was done with CG, they should use the same graphical effects as in TP, now that would RULE!

I've always wanted to make a Zelda film. I know just what would make a Zelda film good. In fact... I would make it longer than the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings director's cut put together! I would make a movie for each Zelda game and tie some together that are somewhat related, Minish Cap, Four Swords, Oot, MM. I would be perfect for this job. And as far as real actors or CG, I would definately go CG. Real actors probably can't capture the real "Zelda" essence we Zelda fans would be looking for. And Link would be much better sounding and his movements and expressions can only be shown right if they're done by computer. And real actors would just irritate us with their cheesy acting. A CG Zelda movie done right would bring the Zelda game to reality. It would probably also make the Zelda games lasts longer, in terms of being made in the future.

Still think Tim Burton would be the best bet!

I didn't read the other 4 pages, but from what I hear a Zelda movie is under production.

Any Zelda movie would probably be a failure, and why would anyone want a Zelda movie? Think back about some of the other movies based on games. Resident Evil, Super Mario Bros, and Tomb Raider(which wasn't that bad)
But Super Mario Bros sums it up.

All i want is a anime,mabey it should bebased on oot and add some stuff so its not dungin after dungin,oot is the really legend of zelda,link even starts as a kid.

Nintendo made the right choice.

CG because it would just look silly to see a real person in a tunic. also if it was CG then more people from nintendo would be able to work on it. if it was live acting then a movie company would do most of it and not have it be like the game much, like with the super mario bros. movie.

Was the Mario bros. movie made the the U.S.? I'm not sure... but if it was than that's why it sucked. That movie might have been better if it was made in Japan. Also of course if they didn't get actors to do the job. And see what happens when people try to make someone like Yoshi fit into a real movie? He looked like a vicious Velociraptor!

cg definitly. Anything else would be completly stupid

The Mario Bros. movie that came out in the U.S. was absolute crap. I liked it at the time though. I don't think it is a good idea to make movies out of video games, or vice versa.
