Zelda Movie

If a Zelda movie did feature live acting, I think Orlando Bloom might make a good Link. Legolas is pretty close.
But I think a movie itself isn't Zelda, because Link doesn't talk in any of the games. I'm sure Miyamoto doesn't want him to talk much, and you can't make a movie with a literally strong and silent hero, can you?

I agree, i think the franchise would do better w/o a movie, but, if they were going to make one, i suppose i would rather have it CG.

It's a known fact that nintendo are branching out and making anime movies. It's not certain wether they'd be based on nintendo games but if they are you can bet they'll do zelda.
By the way, an anime zelda would rule. Full stop.

I would like computer Generated in Twilight Princess Style, but first I think they need to make a WW style cartoon.

Really? I think it would be ok. I think tp is kinda close to Anime. It depends very much on what kinda of Anime they do. If they did realistic non-sloppy anime, then it would be cool. None of the dragon ball z stuff though.

Isn't Zelda a bit anime inspired already though?

Seriously? Something like that will make you disown an entire series, regardless of its classic value prior to that? Well, okay. I don't think disasters will reflect on the game's further sucessees that bad.

Have you seen REAL anime? The sort they use for anime movies? If drawn in that syle (and Zelda-ised) it would rock. Perhaps your only perception of anime is Pokémon and Dragonball Z - I would not want one in that style.

Although a WW movie would be better than an OoT-type movie, by far. Especially if it had the same style.
Also, a Zelda movie might suck considering most video game movies suck. I did kind of like the Mortal Kombat movie, in all its cheesy glory, though.

Definatly CG. The second I think of non-animated zelda movies, I think of those older LoZ commercials... the Zelda Dance AHHHHHH!
But if they ever did make a movie, I would like it base on a game, such as TWW. I just cant imagine how they could make it interesting.

OK, Now think about it, For LOZ, Who would want to act like an old man that sells equipment that floats in midair, ALTTP, How would they make a mirror that sends link through time, LA, How would they train that Owl, OOT, How will they make a nothing-powered windmill, MM, How would they make the moon crash onto the world and make a floating Mask that transforms into a slim monster, and then a Whip-Handed beast, WW, How wouuld they make a talking self-powered boat, and I don't need to mention talking trees in OOT OOS OOA and WW, Plus Time Stones that tell mysteries to someone wearing a mask!!!

CGI isn't good enough yet for a zelda movie but the idea of a movie wouldn't work.

Nintendo had a good idea of making zelda a series. had it been made later on when Hyrule developed move and anime took off I think a series would've been very good.

I personally believe it would be a good idea if they re-made an animeted series. They should team up with Studio Gibli (Did I spell that right?) to do it too.

A movie would have to be a new story. Something not based off a game which as we all know was a major failure for Final Fantasy with "The Spirits Within."

Apprantly, in Hollywood's adaption of Twilight Princess, Link will be played by Cameron Diaz...

Honestly, I'm pretty much against the whole idea of a Zelda movie. I just can't see how it will work well. Live action, CGI, animation... whatever. It'll probably be bad. Directors just have trouble transferring vidieo games into film format.

Definately computer generated. I can't imagine a Zelda movie that's not computer generated. Live acting would be terrible on a Zelda movie.
