Camp Hyrule 2005

I can't wait for it. I have always missed the date or something stupid like that. Can anyone tell me if it is fun? What kind of activities take place there? Please talk about Camp Hyrule 2005 here.

Re: Camp Hyrule 2005

For those of you that don't know, Camp Hyrule is a nintendo run event that basically is made to unite Zelda fans all over the world, in truth, its just one giant poorly run chat room.

Don't panic. The dates and times are probably going to be mentioned somewhere in NP and on the internet. I wouldn't be surprised if even ZU mentioned something about it.

Precisely, I stayed for a day and was utterly bored. But who knows, perhaps they'll surprise me this year.
But yeah, last years was horrible, it was very boring and not much went on. But since there's a new Zelda coming out soon, perhaps this years will be more eventful.

Re: Camp Hyrule 2005

Camp Hyrule is an annual event where Nintendo fans all over the world (specifically Americans and Canadians, NoA couldn't give a damn about non-americans) huddle up together to chat about their favourite Nintendo titles past, present and future. When you join, you will be given a Cabin Number, that will be your "home", if you like. In your cabin, you will design your cabin flag, your cabin name, and other stuff. It's basically competiton between the other cabins.

Also Nintendo try and make something "mysterious" happen every Camp Hyrule. Like mysterious goo pouring all over the map, and crazy crap like that.

I guess Camp Hyrule is alright, but there are a number of spammers and it hard to try and get your say to the NoA's.

True. But I do enjoy a challenge. If you don't enjoy art (like designing in Photoshop or another graphics program) or chatting you will hate Camp Hyrule.

Because that is what it is.

Artwork submissions and chatting.

The chatting is boring after a few minutes. Nothing secret at all is revealed. But if you are a Nintendo fan definetly check it out. Hopefully it won't lag like it did in 2002.

Re: Camp Hyrule 2005

I thought you guys ment like a real camp for fans, cause that would be dumb. Well, when you think about it, the forums are like camp hyrule so I wont bother.
Woodelf, if you want to join, go to Nintendo.com or type in, Camp Hyrule and search for something. Those are the most acurate place I can think of for registering.

Re: Camp Hyrule 2005

Meh... Camp Hyrule's isn't all it's hyped up to be. The chat-rooms are chaotic and are filled with hundreds of flooding people. Not to mention when you try to have a decent conversation with someone who has some common sense, you have to battle over the constant typing of people. It's an OK place at some of the "Old Skool" Gaming Rooms, but cabins are a sheer disaster.

I'll sign up when you can register, but don't expect to see me around there much. I'm usually Haku89 or Haku1989 on it if you must know. Same as last year.
