Links cloth.

Links cloth are different from other peoples cloths why?
In WW its because the legendary hero had such clothes and all that.
And in OoT it was because the kokiri had such clothes but in the other games it is only link that has such a hat and skirt. Oh I almost forgot Tingle and his brothers are the only ones that has "faire" cloth and thats because they want to be "faires" and "faires" are kokiris in OoT they call Link "faire boy from the woods" or something like that.

Re: Links cloth.

I'll tell you why, link's adventures are based on the medieval(sp?) times. In those times townpeople wore clothes like that, so I gues miyamoto used those clothes as an inspiration for link's clothes. And the hat in the first legend of zelda was normal to for those times.

The green represents nature and the simplicity represents his humility.

Re: Links cloth.

It is a tunic. If you need proof, play OoT and buy the red "skirt" from the gorons. See what they call it. As for what he wears, I think that it just stuck after the first game and they just included a reason for it in two of the games. Well, 4 if you count FS. I normally expand and use my imagination, but for this I'll just say it is the way it is. In WW, second time round, you do wear a different set.

That could very well be the answer (at least I like it), but let's see what others come up with.

Re: Links cloth.

I say it was the lack of color in the origional zelda made a lighter green stand out so your Link was easily noticible, they liked the idea, and kept it.

Re: Links cloth.

His clothes are the same as the Koriki in OOT, but different from the townspeople because they live in different areas. It'd be like a city person wearing different clothes than what is normal in the country.

Re: Links cloth.

i think he means, what will be the backstory behind Why or How link receives his green tunic in the new game. He doesnt mean "What is a green tunic?" or "Why does link have to wear green in all his games?"

I think when he leaves the ranch he gets given them as a town representative uniform or....
Once he learns how to use Epona properley, the clothes are a gift for his skill or for his job position.
Or maybe his clothes are the casual clothes and when he goes to work he HAS to put them on and then he just cant be bothered changing again
