I think that would be very cool. It would more than likely anweser alot of questions we have about some of the time line.

Agreed. That would totally rock if they did that! It would also give us Timeline Spoilers.

Re: Should nintendo make a history guide to the lands of zelda?

There's no option for this, so I'll just post it.

If they released a conclusive guide, we wouldn't be able to theorize about timelines anymore. And timeline discussions are one of the most interesting things to talk about concerning Zelda. And if a guide was released, they'd have to be very careful to not mess it up. Clearly what Nintendo (and us) is doing is making up different games, and then trying their best to find a timeline that fits it. If it were to be the other way around, the games wouldn't be as original, because they would have to remain within the confines of their self-created timeline.

Yes I thought that as well. I think it woould clear things up with "The great flood" and everything. It would also clear up why link was landed in the kokiri forest when he was hylain

But (in my opinion) one of the most fun things about Zelda's story is speculating about things like that.

I would like answers to some questions, even though answering too many questions would restrict future games.

Re: Should nintendo make a history guide to the lands of zelda?

Well I hope Mr. Miyamoto gets off his but and makes up a time line again some time after this new ZGC come out!!! I'm starting to get agravated with Nintendo for making the Zelda saga a whole messed up book with "lost chapters" so to speak or unnumbered chapters, if you would say so. I just keep coming up with unofficial theories that are actually based on the history of the game and the major placements of the Tiforce in the game.

Of course will never know the real time line now, because of people like lord-of-shadow that believes in no time line what so ever and believes that their are no connection between all the legends in the LoZ history given so far. The only way to find out the TRUE aspects of the time line are to look at two major things throughout the history of the legends and that is to look at the history of the Triforce in a legend and the gographical changes in the land of Hyrule. As time moves on so does the land change.

You see, we can only look at the FACTS and CLUES from game quotes of what each legend has to offer and then "speculate" (as what l-o-s hates that word... ) what happens in between the legends to connect each legend after another in co ordinace with the next legend in the time line, and so on. And I believe their are clues out in these games that we pass up as just "speculation" that may very well be things forging a time line in relatnence to past legends spoken of in a current game, relentless of what l-o-s thinks. I'm going to laugh at people like him and Senap when an official time line is made in the future!

Re: Should nintendo make a history guide to the lands of zelda?

I do like to have a historical guide. It would give a lot of solutions to the hundreds questions we have. For example the timeline, Who are the Rito's and did they jused to be Zora's. It should be a very large guide though because I like to have every aspect of the games explained. First of al to stop the sometimes idiotic theorys people have and secondly I sometimes get crazy about myself because I sometimes keep speculating over specific subjects.

Excuse me? Did you just insult the God? It's not like he would write it anyway. It would probably be full of mistakes and inconsistencies.

In my opinion, making a book would be lazy. It's better to answer our questions with games, not a book. And I do wonder about these things, but I'm confident that we will get all the answers someday.

Re: Should nintendo make a history guide to the lands of zelda?

Definitely not. Nintendo doesn't know any more than we do when it comes to connecting the games. The truth is, only OoT, MM, and TWW have a definite place in the storyline. Before that, the games were made good with nothing more than gameplay in mind (and Capcom titles don't count). Plus, if Nintendo releases something official, what good Zelda Universe for?
