Easier Or Harder In Real Life?

Do you think if you were to go through the Zelda adventure in real life that it would be easier or harder then going through the video game? REMEMBER, YOU WOULD HAVE THE SAME SKILLS AS LINK SO FIGHTING WOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM.

I personally think some things would be easier, such as dugeons, because you would have to find keys to open doors, you could just smash the lock with a bomb or your sword.

Also, I would buy 2 swords so I could slash through baddies quicker.

And I would tell Zelda to get better trained guards so she would get captured again.

I would also get a garbage bag and stuff a bunch of fairies!

Re: Easier Or Harder In Real Life?

It would be a lot harder for me because of my real life lack of strength. And I would be afraid to go to the well or Shadow Temple or Ikana or the moon or those places! I am wimpy I know. *gets in fetal position and sucks thumb*

Well then, that would just give it all away. I'm sure it would be easy if we had the skills, but we don't (that's what makes it "Real life"). Not all of us has the same strength/energy, courage, and skills as Link. But for your thread's sake, I'll go along with it. When it comes to dungeons and puzzles, I think it would be hard because what we see in the game is the camera's point of view (and the player can change that at will) won't be the same in "reality". Now if we were plopped into Hyrule without the skills and whatnot as Link, I think we could die quickly. If you don't (and most of us don't) know how to hone a sword and sheild (watching something on T.V. doesn't count because that's not 100% of the experience) you could easily be killed by a Stalfos Knight. Not all of us are couragous. Take me for example: I hate bats. I'm terrified of them. I'd most likely sheild myself most of the time, swing carelessly, or run away if I ever saw a Keese (worse yet, a Fire keese...but at least I'd have a visible target in the dark ).

Re: Easier Or Harder In Real Life?

In some instances, some boss attacks would kill you, but some would blind you with pain first.

The battle against, oh, let's say, King Dodongo. THAT would be one hard battle. Your shield wouldn't help. You would have to outrun him. And hope that you would be fast enough to throw a bomb into his mouth before the fire attack. Bosses would be harder ; Dungeons would be easier.

Re: Easier Or Harder In Real Life?

Picture this if I had all of Link's skills it would be harder first of all the presure of really dieing. In a game you just reset but reality means dieing is the end.Next there is the fact your going to fell that pain of getting burned, slashed, bitten,or otherwise. Also about carrying all those items that would be no sweat I have a bag the size of my hand that can carry all those bombs, arrows, ect.I would love to have all of Link's abilities and his curses(bound by the triforce)it's way better then my real life.

Re: Easier Or Harder In Real Life?

It would be impossible!
Atleast Oot, you wouldn't be able to meet King Dodongo since you'd die from that long jump you need to get there. And even if you would you'd probably choke to death instead, breathing in a room mostly filled up with molten rock is pretty hard...

The only game I could imagine being possible is the first game. Though I'm not sure, It's been a loong while since I beat it.

Re: Easier Or Harder In Real Life?

Ok, well, first of all, all of the really big falls that Link takes in OoT would break your legs, if not kill you. Secondly, you wouldn't be able to carry all the equipment, and third, the dungeons would be a lot harder because you wouldn't have an over-the-shoulder view. Also, the hits from a lot of enemies would kill you in one hit. But the bag-of-fairies is a good idea, lol!

Re: Easier Or Harder In Real Life?

Not to mention walking around in a cavern made of ice, being frozen, walking across lava (fire tunic or not, I don't see Link's boots changing), even being within a metre of lava, walking around inside a living creatures body (foreign bodies don't usually bode well), and god knows how much stress your body would take after being dissassembled and teleported to different places whenever you play an ocarina. Oh and the reflex force of a Hookshot would dislodge and tear your hand off before it dragged you anywhere.

On the plus side, you could probably have proper conversations with NPCs instead of just "i've lost my dog", "that chicken is fast" and "we're in love, go away". You could put vodka in your bottles, and then when it looks like you are going to die, get drunk.

Re: Easier Or Harder In Real Life?

It'd be much much harder!
I'm alredy scared of redeads, gibdos, and hands...they make me scream like a little girl!

In real life I'd be even more afraid!!! I'd probably not even wanna go into a dungeon that they were in! I take that back I would'nt want to go into a dungeon period! Not even if I had a truckload of faries!

I know I'm a loser, but in real life for me....Ganondorf would win!

Re: Easier Or Harder In Real Life?

Ummm well on the realistic side of things, suck as smashing locks etc. Yes it would be easier, ie tie rope to your arrow to get across the broken bridge, but on the physical side of things, HELL YES! Seriously! Young Link must play in the woods every day, because damn he must be extremely fit. I mean, it's hard just to lift yourself up onto ledges if you are haning by your hands, and hes doing it every 3rd second. So yeah, pysicaly, it would almost kill you!

Re: Easier Or Harder In Real Life?

Yeah it would! I'd also probably die right right away, not from doing bad, but from a enemy giving me a heart attack, by scaring me!!

Re: Easier Or Harder In Real Life?

Yeah! I wonder if anyone thinks it would be easier in real life? I can't see how!

Also, not only the enemies scaring me, but I'd lose without L-targeting, I have horrible aim!

Re: Easier Or Harder In Real Life?

Well yeah, if you were like brought up in the forest, with other "children" and the Deku Tree, you could just like play all day because you wouldn't have to work too hard, so I think most of Links childhood weapons, he would have had some similar practise all his life, ie the slingshot. Adult Link, well the Triforce of COurage had awoken and he was a Hero, so maybe he had some natural instincts kick in to help with the swordplay etc.

Re: Easier Or Harder In Real Life?

Even if you have all the same skills and abilities as Link it would still be harder, mainly because the video game is in third person and you can see more and it is easier to solve puzzles. If Zelda games were in first person than it wouldn't be harder or easier, it would be the same.

Re: Easier Or Harder In Real Life?

It'd be way harder, i wouldn't trust myself out in the open with a great big sword like the Big Goron Sword
But can you imagine carrying all that stuff? Going to half of the places Link has been would be a deathwish!
I think i'd die at the sight of a ReDead/Gibdo/Dead Hand/Floor/Wallmaster!

Re: Easier Or Harder In Real Life?

I think it would be easy and hard because first of all u can see places that the camera wouldnt let u see before, but it would be harder cause it would be a first person view and everything would look a bit different

Re: Easier Or Harder In Real Life?

Lets see,Hit on the arm by a sword nearly cutting it off, getting hit in an explosion that could probably blow a hole in a wall, getting stabbed in the stomach, falling heights that would break your legs or kill you, running through lava, staying underwater for about 30 minuites and carrying about 50 something pounds.I would count that as hard.
