Timeline theory

The following is my timeline. It is very similar to ZU timeline. Some of the following is fictional( Dates)( certain events) or is mere speculation. (every age lastsabout 2000 years.) I will fit all games into the timeline except for four swords and the minish cap.



- year 0-first age- The three godesses, Din ,farore, and Nayru begin creating the world.

-year 2- The godesses depart and leave behind the triforce.

- year 8- 5 minor "gods" come to Hyrule. There names are Valoo, Jabu jabu, the great deku tree, Zephos and Cyclos.

- year 100- the first intelligent race awakens in Hyrule, fairies.

-year 123- the fairies migrate from Hyrule.

-year 567- a second race awakens in the kokiri forest( kokiri). They take the forms of children.


-year 1000- The Hylians awaken in the great plain of Hyrule.

- year 1304- Many Hylians migrate to the north and build the city of Hylia( Hyrule castle town) along with Hyrule castle.

- year 1407- The gorons awaken , as do the zoras.

- year 1699- The Humans Awaken outside of Hyrule.

- year 1701- The tokays awaken in labrynna as do the subrosians in subrosia.

- year 1809-The gerudo awaken in the Hylian desert.

- year 1901- The sheikah awaken at the foot of Death mountain.

- year 2000- The Hylians learn about the Triforce and the sacred realm. The temple of time is built to protect the triforce. So ends the first age.

I have to go now. I should have the timeline of the second age soon.

Sorry for the length and the fiction.

Ocarina of time and windwaker take place in the second age.

Okay here is my timeline of the second age

I will not deal with child links timeline therefore I must exclude Majoras mask.


-year 1- secong age- The ocarina of time and the spiritual stones are created to protect the sacred realm morsoe. The six temples are built.

-year5- the sheikah ally themselves with the Hylians.

-year 193- The other People in Hyrule learn about the triforce and begin to fight amongst themselves thus the fierce wars begin. The sheikah fight alongside the Hylians.

-year 201- Ganondorf is born

-222- Link and zelda are born. Ganondorf arises as king of the Gerudos.

-year 223- Link 's father dies and his mother takes him to kokiri forest.

-year 225- The fierce wars end . The gorons , the Hylians and the zora are united. All but one Sheikah(Impa) die. Kakariko is open to everyone.

-year 234- Link is summoned by the great deku tree. After saving him he is sent to see princess zelda. He is told to retrieve the spiritual stones. He does this and with the ocarina of time he opens the door of time. Ganondorf enters the sacred realm and gain the triforce of power.

- 235- Ganondorf curses five of the temples and within creates many foul creatures such as moblins and bokoblins( I know they are not in oot). Hylia city is attacked and razed along with Hyrule castle. the inhabitants either die or flee.

-236- Ganons tower is built

-241- Link is awakened ,collects the six medallion, awakens the sages and seals Ganondorf in the sacred realm.

-293- Link dies.

-294- Zelda dies.

328- Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule becomes king.

339- Ganon returns, with a huge army and attacks Hyrule.

340- The Hylians ask the godesses for help and they respond by flooding Hyrule and freezing it in time. A small pourcentage settle on the mountaintops which become islands.

996- Ganon makes a portal to the forsaken fortress and begins to create an army.

1001-Link 2 is born

1014- links sister is kidnapped causing link to go on an adventure to find here. After gaining the master sword ,restoring the master swords power to repel evil and combining the shards of the triforce of courage, tetra and Link defeat Ganon and freeze him in time.

1015-Tetra and Link search for a new land.

1016-a new land is found and thought to be without enemies. The people of the great sea travel there and create a new Hylian civilization. They then discover that they are not alone....So ends the second age

I like it except for the overall idea of two ages, but thats your opinion and i respect it. I would go into detail but i have just written a long article. Maybe tomorrow. Looks good though. Nice one

I am hoping to include zelda 2005 in my timeline. what do you think?

Ok, it start out in OoT, and u know he gets the spiritual stones and pulls the Master sword from the pedistal,

and gets locked away for 7 yrs. and stuff. Then of coarse he awakens all 6 Sages and saves the 7th(Zelda) from Ganondorf. Then the sages lock him up in an endless void to drift for all eternety. Then Zelda sends him back in time to where he was 10 yrs. old again.

Then a year and a half later he looks for a "longlost friend"and then he gets caught up in a situation and saves Termina from Majora.


Then i think about a century or two later, Ganondorf busts out of the endless void and attacks hyrule(the great sea) and "reincarnation" of the first Link is Born

and embarks on a journey to save his sister and ends up defeating Ganondorf and saving Hyrule and/or the great sea.

I dont know much about this one though(Zelda GC)


Then Ganon Threatens hyrule once again from the once Sacred Realm now is the dark World cause he got hold of all three Triforce Pieces and and wishes it as his own, and Agahnim(the Kings right hand man at first)

Takes control of the Hyrulean government and other stuff like that. but then Link foils his plan with the master sword and went to the dark world and freed all the Maidens Agahnim had sealed away and Defeated Agahnim again and then he defeats Ganon and saves Zelda, the sacred Realm, and Hyrule.

Then on his way on his way to a new land to do something, he crashes on the sea during a storm and is washed up to Koholint Island and saves them from the windfish's nighmare which had the Wind Fish, Gaurdian of Koholint, under a spell so it could cover the island in darkness forever.

Then another Link is born and is summoned to a far away land called Holodrum and saves the Oracle of Seasons(Din) from Onyx.


Then he is summuned to Labrinnya(Pardon my spelling) and saves the Oracle of Ages(Nayru) From Vernan.


Then centuries later, a tournament was held and the winner was the Evil Sorcerer Vaati.

He broke the Legendary Piccori Blade and turns Zelda to stone. Then Link sets out to stop him, he met this talking hat who used to be the elder of all minish and he helps link along the way by allowing him to shrink which was helpful along the way.

He had to obtain all of the Four Elements (Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind) to obtain two of those elements he had to shrink to the size of a minish to obtain them, then he took the broken Piccori Blade and takes it to Mellari(leader of the Mountain Minish), and they make it into the white sword which gets enfused with the four elements, thus creating the Four Sword which became legendary through out time. Then he foils Vaati's plans and Saves Hyrule. Then he lays the Four Sword in a pedistal that sealed Vaati's power.

Years later, another Link is born and is asked to embark on a journey after Zelda shows him the Four Sword but Vaati broke out and kidnapped the Princess.Then he pulled the Four Sword from its pedistal and he and his three counter parts foil Vaati's plans.


Then about a year later Vaati breaks out again and Link once again sets out on a journey to foil Vaati's plans, but Link and his counterparts soon realize that it was Ganon who was behind all this the whole time.

I dont know much about this game either(Zelda DS(Four Swords (Working Title)))

Centuries later, Gannon kidnapps the Princess again and the new "reincarnation" of Link sets out on a journey to free Zelda from the cluches of Gannon.

He succeeds and defeating Gannon and saves Hyrule.

Then, Four years Later and evil Sorcerer put Zelda into a deep sleep

and Link sets out again to undo the spell, and then in the Great Palace, he enters the Final room, and his shadow takes form and fights him, but Link defeats it and he soon realizes that it was Gannon's spirit that took over his shadow and tried to kill him so they could use his blood as a final step towards bringing Gannon back. Link then breaks the spell and saves Hyrule.

Evilking Vaati, do you have proof that this is the real timeline? It's not so bad, mind you.

RAGNAR: You've got a pretty decent and detailed timeline, especially with the years and all that. It makes a lot of sense to me.

There are so many various timeline theories you never know which is the most logical, I have read many but then after they come to blank gaps and miss out a game or two and then it ruins there whole study, which is why I keep clear of writing one, but reading one is interesting, i am not sure up that Evilking Vaati you might want to work on that

EvilKing Vaati, note the Palace of the Four Sword in the GBA version of Link to the Past. This would put The Minish Cap (and probably the Four Swords games too) before Link to the Past.

The Zelda that is asleep in Adventure of Link isn't the Zelda from the first game, it is her ancestor. She had been in a magical sleep for hundreds of years. It says so in the instruction manual.
