What do you love most about Zelda?

To me,the best thing about Zelda is the vastness in each game.The sub-quests,which aren't mission critical,prolong the life of the game,making 15 hours play more than 30.They also distract you from the seriouness of the main storyline,giving the game humour and a lightness that all great games have.The amount of exploration too is brilliant.I can only be amazed at the size of the new overworld in the next zelda,and the many long hours I will spend discovering all the secrets and items that every hole and crevice hides.I love Zelda more than any game,and there are many more reasons than these.What do you think?

The thing I like best of the Zelda games is the legends. I really like mythical-like or medieval-like stories and therefore I really like the Zelda storylines.

What always drew me into Zelda is just the world and culture of Hyrule. Zelda is to gaming as Star Wars is to movies, Lord of the Rings is to books, etc. It takes you to a different placed and you get immersed in the world.

but i love the Adventure, and storey! i love RPG games... and i like deku scrubs lol
but mainley it is the storeyline zelda games have, and how emotineal it is....
( i cryed at the end of OoT, so beutiful......so....sembolic....)

Vastness? Where? I've played all of the official Zelda games and only LoZ and AoL had vast Overworlds, and of course the new Zelda.

Anyway, I like especially the legends and the epic quest, and also the 'romance'. Let's face it, Link and Zelda fancies each others. It has been implied by Nintendo and there are hints in the games. :razz:

yes, the stories are bonb diggity, i like the sidequests, and the whole thing, my favorite part is always the end. you get that feeling that you beat the game, and it feels good, however it is the end, so it's a bittersweet thing, but then again, i also love the boss battles. I don't know what my favorite thing is!

Music is a close second. I LOVE THE SPIRIT TEMPLE SONG!! And the Song of Storms, which I play on the piano every day. There's this cool arrangment of it that I wrote...sorta. Koji Kondo wrote it actually...

What I love about Zelda is that it puts you in the adventure.You FEEL that you have a duty,you FEEL that you're on an epic quest,you FEEL that you're fighting a supreme evil.That pretty much sums up my thoughts.

To thunderbird:What I meant by vastness was the sheer volume of detail and adventuring there is in each zelda game.Anyway,all the Zeldas I have ever played have had pretty big overworlds.

what i love about Zelda is Link(not like that) and Epona. this is like the only game in the world that you can call on a horse and ride it where you please.

The sidequests in the games were always fun and the games usually have interesting storylines. But it is mostly the gameplay.

well i love the vastness, the combat, the weapons, the monsters, the emotions, i love it all!!!! but i mostly love the big epic, medievil legend thing (hence the name, the LEGEND of zelda). its just all put together in one big blender, and its the ultimate smoothie!!! iy is always a shem to put the controller down, i have to agree with you there, but its always a feeling of acomplishment mixed in with it, which leaves you feeling very strange, but yearning for the next game, thats why i love zelda.

It's all said before I guess but the reason I love Zelda is the great stories, the magical medieval worlds and themes, the music, the characters and.. alright I admit it.. I'm deeply in love with Link...

There is no way I can choose one certain thing. I love every aspect of the games, every little detail except for one. The low health beeping noise, but I even think that the fact that Nintendo refuses to not do that is funny.

The feeling. The majestic feeling of the series. I love it. You're saving the world from tremendous evil, you're the only one, you'll have to face horrible monsters, cross perilous seas and deserts, avoid lethal traps... You'll come across searingly hot volcanoes, frozen wastes, murky swamps, and places where living men never come. And you're on your own. If you succeed you're name will go down in history, you will be known forever, and you're one of the greatest heroes of all time. If you fail, all hope is lost... I just completely love the whole medieval thing, too.
The music. I'll save the rant of which Zelda music I like, else this post might get very, very, very long.
The innovativity and items and stuff. Just like all those cool new items Link gets in every adventure,
And the awesome gameplay. In fact, I like everything about Zelda .

I love the puzzels and finding my way through dungens.

I hate the side games. They should take all the effort they put into the side games and use that energy in making the dungens longer and harder.

Link himself is what makes the games worth playing. He's just so... Cool! Also, I've grown up with Link, he's been my contant companion since I was 3!

I just love the music, and the continuity of it between all the zeldas. I turned off my gba the other night and I swear I could still hear it!
