a war in one of the games?

have you ever think of a war in the middle of the game? look lets put the world scenario of oot and you see a little cinama where a lot of gorons are decending from death mountain and start attacking hyrule castle and navi is like "Link we must save the castle!" or something like that and you start killing goron and fighting along hyrulean knights you think that will attract you remember this is just an example it can be iron knukles against the the hyrulean knights

OoT details a war, and takes place in another one.

I don’t think the Gorons would just randomly start attacking Hyrule Castle. After all, the Goron’s are a pretty peaceful race. They wouldn’t start attack Hyrule unless Hyrule attacked first.

Okay, now that I got that off my chest, I can actually give my opinion. I think a sequence like that where you were part of an army fighting off waves of enemies would actually be pretty cool. I mean, think about it. Fighting off armies of Moblins and Darknuts all while trying to defend a castle or something. It’d be pretty tough, both for the system and for the player, but it would be pretty awesome! I think you might be on to something!

If those Gorons acquired magic first you can just imagine the carnage they could cause, a buncha spinning spiked wheels of death.

It does sound like a cool idea, If the system handled it. Like I remember participating in a massive attack on a MMORPG Asheron's Call and that woulda been really sweet if it ran well.

Sounds kind of like warcraft meets Zelda.

Sounds more like Dynasty Warriors meets Zelda. Zelda is known for it's depiction of a young male fighting a great evil on his own, he beats back his fears and goes for it. Thus aquiring the Trifrorce peice of Courage. Fighting with an army sort of defies the feeling of the game, the armosphere would change completely and it'd be more frenzied than adventure-ish.

i would be like a normal game until the end when ganondorf gather all his minions and prepares to attack hyrule castle and when ganondorf minions enter hyrule castle then comes ganondorf and starts blowing up everyone and then you fight against him in the top of hyrule castle and when beat him up you go down and the hylians won; simple as that.

I have always wanted a full scale battle in a Zelda game, but I don't think it will ever happen.

That would be fun, it almost sounds like Lord Of The Rings, when you have to protect the castle wall. Anyway, if the Gorons would attack they would get massacred and hacked to death. Being attacked by enemies, with an army you don't sound as big but when you’re a lone you do.

Who are you saying would get hacked to death. The Gorons or the defenders?

Whoops, I forgot to add that in, I'm sayin the Gorons would get hacked to death.

It would be a great idea, provided it was pulled off right, and they could keep the framerate going, ala The Two Towers.

Take the idea of Darmani-Link going full speed with his spikes out.

You evade them until they run out of magic, or you dig a trench and fill it with water. Duh.

LoL, okay the water trench would work definitely.
I can't see a regular hylian knight avoiding speeding Gorons though.

Ok I can see them being totally owned provided they raise the drawbridge first before they get in, otherwise I still think they would slice up everyone.

Oh, and they could all be carrying a powder keg that they use to blow up the place... it could happen.

I don't think Gorons have powder kegs in the OoT universe...another flaw. Also, guards are not nearly as clumsy as they are always portrayed to be. Why get a mediocre guard when you can have an adept one?

You don't delve into the Goron's society in OOT, your just an honored outsider.

Let me rephrase my thoughts. I can't imagine anyone being able to avoid lots of speedy Gorons, even Link with a bunny hood. Bear in mind my whole thought hinges on all of them getting magic somehow, not really likely. I just consider it a cool scene to view.

I can see that, but they arn't like that in OoT. Unless some evil Goron scientist came from through the lost woods and just decided to live on the moutains because It reminded him of home and then told them. I was just thinking of them like those regular Gorons attacking that you se in the shops and such. But, they would'nt unless one of the Giant ones quashed everyone. But the Gorons would probably have thoughs Giant Swords.

Ah, thats right... BigGoron would scare the sh$@ out of them Hylians. If he rolled he could probably take out the castle.

But yeah regular Gorons would be hacked, thats why I said if they got magic.

Which reminds me, I know a team of people who are doing a Zelda Warcraft 3 mod... they plan on changing all the units to Zelda units, and having a Goron, Zora, Hylian, and Gerudo race. It's coming along quite nicely, it's highly interesting. I had tons of fun suggesting units for each race..
