BtR Survey - March 2005

Hello. This is pipking, acting independantly of the Team of Writers but doing this for the benefit of all.

Just wanted to get a sense of how the community feels about our ongoing column.

What would you like to see in upcoming issues? Choose from the options above or write your own. You can choose more than one option, but to anyone thinking of getting click-happy, we'll all know who you are and smoting's in season.

Re: BtR Survey March 2005

More general articles would be nice... if only because we would have a wider pool of stuff to write about

Regular scheduals? Deadlines? No no no, heck no

In all seriousness though, I think that what would improve our articles the most is to ground them ina bit more reality. All of the recent ones, all of the articles period as far as I can remember, deal with the more abstract portions of the games. Atmospheres, meanings... and oftentimes these things are exaggerated or filled with overly flowery language. That's all well and good in small amounts, but we have a glut of articles like these.

A lot more humor would also be nice.

Re: BtR Survey March 2005

I voted for More specific articles (Zelda only).

I rarely ever read the BtR articles, and I don't really care nor like BtR too much, but I guess my vote poses as a plea for - what is in my eyes - improvement. I don't know, BtR confuses me sometimes.

Start by saying why you don't read BtR - what turns you off about it? I don't think you're alone. There's probably a whole host of people who might be interested in the column but aren't ever really inspired by what they read.

Someone like you is the ideal person to be writing in this thread, so please take the time to answer as completely as possible.

And l-o-s: you're right about the more 'ethereal' articles; sometimes they come off wishy-washy. I have a project that, funds willing, will help me in that regard, but I'll keep it a secret from the public until I have a better grip on things.

Re: BtR Survey March 2005

It's a relief to know no one cares that we have a hard time keeping to a scheduel.

For those of you who've said 'more zelda only,' what are the kinds of topics you'd like us to tackle?
