So many zelda's

Ive always considered myself a great zelda fan, but can you believe it, up until today, i thought there was only 3 zelda games?? (ocarina of time, majora's mask, windwaker) but i didnt know about the other games.

I actually remember having a game on my computor about 5 or 6 years ago, which was zelda windwaker for some old platform like snes, its cute.

I thought oot came first, but i guess not, so can someone please tell me around about what order the games were released in, and what platform, because id love to play them all but i dont want to skip a game and ruin the story.

Re: So many zelda's

honestly, there really is no story. like, in link to the past, hylians existed long ago, but it comes before Oot, yet in OoT, Hylians still exist. its sorta goes in order of release dates.

Legend of Zelda
Adventure of Link
A Link to the Past
Link's Awakening
Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask
Oracle of Seasons
Oracle of Ages
Wind Waker (technically)

Im not sure about 4 swords adventures, its the only 1 i havent played, and theres a new one coming out for the gamecube, no name has been released.

hope this helps a bit.

Re: So many zelda's

There is no official, overall timeline. Any timeline you hear is a fan creation, surmised by available evidence.

And, among the fans, there are numerous different timeline theories, none of which can be confirmed.

Re: So many zelda's

At the main page you can look closer to all games, and they're also in same order as biggoron said. There are also 3 Zelda games made for another consol or something like that, there is more information about that at Ganonstower.
Well enjoy being around, looks like you have very much to discover

Re: So many zelda's

Well, I kinda grew up on Zelda. I was introduced to LoZ by my older bro, and so that was kinda like the first one I played. I have played all of them practically, except for OoS and OoA. Then my brother and I would have competions to see who could beat the games first, those were the days....
