Which style of art do you like?

Which style of zelda art do you like? Do you like the OoT real-life looking art? Or do you like the handheld 2D graphics? I personally like Wind Waker toony graphics.

I myself think that Link and the rest of Hyrule looks best in the real life style. That said, I don't hate the WW style too, I just don't like it as much. ^_^

I like the 3D OoT/MM/Zelda2005 style and the old 2D SNES style. The graphics of ALttP were so clean and simple and still they looked a lot better than many other games' cluttered graphics...

Honestly, I've always liked the official story artwork for The Legend of Zelda, The Adventures of Link, and Link to the Past. It had an old, storybook quailty about them, which always made me smile. As far as *character* design art work is concerned, I'd have to go ahead and say that Ocarina of Time is my personal favorite.

OoT, ALttP, and AoL. Although, the Fierce Deity Link official pic looked great.

I like the Z'05 style, too.

My favorite style of graphics would be from MM. They are similar to OOT but there is just something about it's style that I like better.

I agree with this oppinion, the graphics for mm are better for some odd reason, this is my favorite form of graphics.

A Link to the Past had the best art, IMHO, followed closely by LA.




Graphics-wise, LttP is my favorite, followed by the Wind Waker.

for character design, oot is my favorite, but for graphics, WW was fun graphics but my favorite is MM, im not sure about the new zelda yet, i need to play it, and the 2d, well LttP was good, but i just perfer the 3d

Graphics don't really matter to me. And neither do art styles.

I think that you are right the ww style is not bad. But the more life-like games are (i think) better. It gives you a better presuective of the game.

Realistic graphics all the way! tWW graphics are nice, but I like being able to see everything as it would be. I dont know how much of that made sense, but oh well

I also prefer the MM graphics over the OOT graphics because of that something in it's style. I think it is because MM had to use the expansion pak on the N64 to work, thus MM had sharper, smoother graphics than OOT

I don't mind the WW style of graphics either, but as H'ey mentioned in an earlier post about Hyrule looking better in real life graphics, i like the realistic style slightly better as well

I thought this thread was about the art style... well I like the art of Alttp, simple yet awesome at the same time ya know

Majora's Mask in my opinion, i do like the SNES graphics and the WW graphics but the whole Zelda theme suits more realistic feel.

I do like the cartoon but i find that being all happy and colorful they aim at a younger audiance (8 year olds) and think that it makes it too easy, but the new graphics mean that it is aimed at the older audiance mean it should be harder? i hope it is. Ether way i like the new graphics the most because it means that the game has good graphics and it hard.

Here are my favorite graphic styles:

1)The Wind Waker
2)Four Swords Adventures
3)Ocarina of Time

They just have this Zelda-ish feel to them. The Game Boy graphics (minus TMC, which I haven't played yet) just felt too... cartoonlike. Strangely enough, TWW is my favorite.

I'd like to see a 3D game with a look similar to the official artwork of the Oracle games. Bright, rich and cartoony, but not so simplistic as Wind Waker and not cel-shaded.
