Best Music

I'm pretty sure a topic like this was made here before, but I haven't found it. Anyway, which game do you think had the best music? Music in general, like all of it.

I think it was either A Link to the Past or Majora's Mask.

Ya, I made a thread of this, but it was specifically the best music in a certain part of a Zelda game. ALttP had some great music, which is a lot to do with why I love the LoZ series!

Well, i thought that much of the LTTP music was great as well as half the music from OOT and MM too. I also liked most of the music in Wind Waker as well.

the WW has some of my favorite music bc its mostly remixes of the OOT music, other then that, the original OOT musc is great too

I personaly liked the music from mm the best. Though I liked the ocarina songs in oot more, the overall music was better in mm.

I liked alttp's soundtrack because it has the most lively shall we say, music.

The Ocarina of Time OST, bar none.

Best music in a part of a Zelda game? I'd have to say the Lost Woods. The music there gives it such a dissonant feel. Mystical too. Really makes it feel "Lost." Especially in places like the meadow. Come to think of it, all the Zelda music that I've encountered fits each area unbelievably well. Some real talent went into those soundtracks.

I like the music when you enter the Zora's Hall in MM!

I like the Music of Guru-Guru (is taht he's name?---I call him man of the Windmill lol)!!

I liked the legend of zelda ( nes ) it always had a catchy tune in every spot ^_^

yes, LoZ had a cool soundtrack for its time. I liked the Level 9 music a lot. (Ganon's Death Mountain dungeon)

I think the ALttP soundtrack is the best though. It has the best overworld theme of all (which improved greatly on the classic LoZ theme) and the Sanctuary Dungeon music is one of the most interesting dungeon music in any Zelda game.

The wonderful Kakariko theme came from this game as did the Master Sword signature and Ganon's Theme. The most overlooked theme of all must be the soothing Fairy theme which has been used in every major Zelda game since (Both in the main menus and in the ponds, just like ALttP). Zelda's theme (which is great) also originated from this title.

The Lost Woods music is sleepy and mysterious, all the Dark World themes were dark and just plain evil. This soundtrack had it all and is a mayor reason to why I love this game.


Btw, I don't understand why everyone keeps saying that the WW soundtrack was a re-mix of OoT's? Many major re-mixes were from ALttP as well, even more I believe. Like the Hyrule Castle music, the normal battle music, the music when Zelda is revealed (is the Title music in ALttP). Sure, Windfall featured a Kakariko-like theme. But where did the Kakariko theme come from in the first place?

I think the best music was in OOT. I like to just stand in zora domain and listen to the music for hours wall doing my homework.

I would hafta say Ocarina of Time only because since it involved the use of the Ocarina you were required to listen to the music and actually take it in whereas in a lot of the other games you just dont even notice it. I did also notice the music in ALTTP and it would hafta come in a close second.

You should buy the soundtrack dude. You'd love it.

I think oot had the best music.But ww was allright though.

And where can i buy the sountrack?

in MM, especially i liked the boss fight theme.

Ocarina of Time, one of the best tunes was inside a shop/house or kokori village
