Did Volvegia turn into Valoo?

In the OoT Volvegia was a huge dragon. Could Valoo on Dragon Roost Island be his descendent? What about Jabu Jabu and Jabun. I do know that the Great Deku Tree in the WW is the seed that you plant in OoT.

I don't think Volvagia and Valoo are decendents, but Jabu-Jabu and Jabun might be.

I'm pretty sure that Jabu-Jabu is an ancestor of Jabun, but I've never thought that Valoo is related to Valvagia. They might be, but Link kills Valvagia, and I didn't see any children, but It could be.

That is possible. Then couldn't the Deku Tree be the same too? Ya, I guess this should be in GCN Zelda.

Doesn't really need to be in GCN Zelda as it concerns both games.

And Volvagia died, presumably before he had any offspring. The only resemblence I see between the two is that they both live in mountains, and they're both dragons. That's not enough evidence for me. Under that logic, you could claim that Link and Zelda are brother and sister because they're both Hylians and both live in Hyrule.

I don't see how Volvagia could have had children. Jabun makes sense to me, their names are very similar. The new Great Deku Tree is that seed that was planted. Volagia and Valoo may be both red, start with "V"'s, be dragons, live in mountains (possibly the same mountain!)... But, I don't think they're descendants.

The fact you can't spell evolution does not bode well. If Link turned Volvagia into molten lava during OOT, I doubt it would be the same dragon. I think the only connection is that they are re-using the same idea.

Link didnt plant the deku seed, but in the zelda oot comics, i thought it was said that links mother brought link there, and then she died on that spot and she turned into the deku sprout. that could mean why she tellls link that he is actually a hylian and not a kokiri.

If the Zoras turned into Ritos, why did they abandon their fish for a dragon?
Maybe Jabun wasnt able to goive them wings like Valoo could, but what would Jabun do then? His purpouse was to be a useless fish swiming around with a pearl?
And if Jabu Jabu is the same as Jabun, then I dont think the Ritos would abandon him.

lets face a few things, the zora-rito theory is still theory, why would "fish" need to adapt that much because of a higher ocean level, especially if they are amphibious "fish"?

also it is unlikely that Jabu-Jabu and jabun are related because Jabu-Jabu is speachless, not to mention that Jabu-Jabu later apears in an oracle game, there is too much uncertaincy to make anyone claim.

Valoo was a sort of god and Volvegia was evil.

HG - Jabun and Jabu-Jabu couldn't be the same by evolution, because one particular organism can never just evolve. Evolution occurs within a race over time, not by just one example of a species. Unless you meant that it changed, which I feel is unlikely, but possible.

Personally, I think that Valoo being a descendant of Volvagia is, again, unlikely, but possible. There is a lack of evidence, and to be honest, I doubt that the creators of Zelda even thought about the relation between the two dragons.

I think this is unlikely as since Volvigia was an evil Dragon. And while Valoo is good and kind.

Cain and Abel came from the same family, and one was good, one was evil. So, Volvagia could have been bad, and somewhere along the evolutionary chain have changed. Maybe he just hated Gorons. I had thought of the evil good thing, but now I think it has no baring on whether or not they are related.

I don't think Valoo had any relation to Volvagia, because Link killed Volvagia, and well I just don't see any connection.

It is also possible that Volvagia was revived again. Wasn't he killed before by Darunia?
