The Sheikah Topic

Right now this links only slightly with my Eye of Truth topic but here we shall discuss everything we know about the Sheikah's we know they were servers of the Royal Family and possessed mysterious powers, they are usually tall and have strong builds in order to defend the royality of the Royal Family. Sheikah's were born in Kakariko Village and become there home back then but now its open to the poor peasants since the mysterious disappearance of the Sheikah race, anything else I haven't mentioned please add it will help me in both my research and fanfic

To tell you the truth, we, as zelda fans, dont really know anything about the sheikah. Where do you get the idea that sheikah are tall and have stong builds?? The ONLY true sheikah that anyone has seen is Impa.

Its like being an alien, and coming down to earth, and the 1st human you see is johnny depp, it would be stupid to assume that all humans look like depp.
Sure the sheikah are the sworn protecters of the royal family, sure sheikah like the colours blue and purple , but other than that, we really dont know anything.
Sheikah may not all have grey/white hair... impa is an old woman, a nanny, of course she has grey hair.
The sheikah did not use to live in kakariko, it was a town "built" by impa, shes, in a sense, the "mayor" of kakariko.
Something big must have happened in the past in which the sheikans must be in everlasting debt to the hylians....
but yea... 98% of what people here about the sheikas are probably from fan fics and romours, If you want to know about the sheikas, play OoT

Actually, we do know some things about the Sheikah.

We know that is it a tradition for the Royal Family to have Sheikah bodyguards, and for the Sheikah to serve the Royal Family.

We know that Kakariko used to be a Sheikah villag,e or was founded by Sheikah, until Impa opened it to Hylians and the public.

We know that they are associated with the Eye symbol, in some way.


Of course, that's about it. Most of what Kaiogaha said was either impossible to understand, made no sense, or was just stuff he made up on the spot.

Yeah...but it would be nice if all humans did

If memory serves me right, Sheikah also have some whacked-up eye colors. Sheik's were red (Zelda had color contacts, maybe?), and Impa's were either red or purple. Of course, this is also true about the rito (red eyes). But yeah.

There's one very interesting quote about the Sheikah:

The Sheikah are apparently the shadows of the Hylians. If you take this literally, then maybe each Hylian has a Sheikah "shadow" - perhaps it is possible for them to become each other, as Zelda does. Maybe Shadow Link is a Sheikah...

Weren't the Gossip Stones also called Sheikah stones?

A very interesting theory Lethy it fits too with Dark Link an all but Dark Link was created by Ganondorf to act as a strong killer towards Link since he would fight his fellow own shadow! But yeh I have heard that and maybe this might be true each Hylian has his or her own "shadow" this explains the Hylian Guard does it not?

Kaiogaha - Like your other thread, this is just another one of those vague "Let us now discuss ___ and compile information." EVERYTHING we know about the Sheikah has aleady been posted in the thread. Simply debating the race on this limited information is just a waste of time, because they only appeared in one game: Ocarina of Time. So again, I fail to see your purpose. Perhaps you should get adopted, so you can look to see how most people post?

I am sorry is that meant to be a joke get adopted I am that bad? Geez I must really suck and its not the 1st forum I have registered at but the others found me ok but I seem to be messing with the professionals as it were

Post things that people don't know and want to talk about. We all know about the Sheika. Have your ever played Oot? If not go to blockbuster right now and get a copy.

I personally don't see a problem with his thread. Some people like to speculate on certain things in games. It happens everywhere.

IRT the shadow thing, don't read too much into it. It's not so much that they're shadows of hylians, but that the hylians are a larger group that seem to overshadow the Sheikah. Basically it would divide the Hylians into two groups, the people that everyone knows, and the Sheikah, the lesser known.

ye, i also wanted to use the word 'speculating' theres nothing useless to this thread and the great this about the whole zelda storyconstruction is your own imagination + what you can puzzle together w/ the things other people found out and if every1 adds his part, we'll might get to know more, because maybe some zelda parts still have to get discovered.

With the exception of FSA, is there any real evidence of that? No, not really.

I know I am just "speculating" geez...dont even bother critising me anymore cause really I have had enough of it and I am only trying to have fun and get some good speculations going that might end of true, its the only the way you can put it if history hasn't explained then you can which is what I always say

If you read the OoT manga, Sheik does give a few clues about the Sheikah. For one thing, he explains the eye symbol, and how it only used to be an eye (without the tear), and that the tear was added when the Royal Family betrayed them. Kind of interesting, though I don't know how official the info. is, as it came from the manga and not the book.

There isn't that much info about the sheikah really so wouldn't it be a great idea if they made them paly a bigger role in Zelda 2005 so we could learn more about their background.The dark setting I heard about should match perfect to the sheikah
