Is their a connection between the WW and OoA?

All who have played the WW will remember those boring hours of sailing, just to find 3 stupid pearls! Anyways if any of ever look at the design on those pearls, you will find musical note looking things. Well these designs are exactly the same design as the 3 note things in The Oracle of Ages. Just look in Primas Official Guide. It shows a picture of link with his harp. It also shows all the other characters. Well, around this you see the three pearls(or notes for that matter). What do you think?

Re: Is their a connection between the WW and OoA?

Hmm... This is about games on different consoles. Moved to General Zelda.

I don't think there's a connection between the games. Symbols don't neccessarily mean a connection, especially in video games. If they did, then one could assume from the Happy Mask Man in MM that there was a connection with the Mario games...

Re: Is their a connection between the WW and OoA?

What relation does that poll have to your question?

Those symbols also happen to be the symbols of Farore, Nayru, and Din. OoS & OoA had things relating to those three, even though they weren't goddesses in those games. So, I don't think there's a connection.

Those symbols have been around in many games so I dought it means that there is a connection between WW and OOA.

Re: Is their a connection between the WW and OoA?

Yeah, I remember that, I think someone mentioned about it in that "Zelda Influences" thread. If not that thread, then it was another one. The three symbols are just the symbols for the different ways to go through time in OoA. Nintendo just used the symbols again, that's it.

Re: Is their a connection between the WW and OoA?

1. Most people here have the polls go with the topic.
2. I never played OoA so I have no idea.
3. Both are Zelda games, the are the same symbols, the both have something to do with Din, Nayru, and Farore (or am I wrong?), both games have something to do with music, why wouldn't they be connected. Becides, Nintendo usally do stuff like this. What if instead of the Great Sea only covering Hyrule, but it covers Holodrum and L... whatever the other on is called, also?

hmmmm i never even noticed that!!! I would say, since there isnt any other obvious connection, that they were just reusing the symbols.

I think the symbols represent the goddesses. But then, I never played OoA...

You know what, I believe you are right. In OoT weren't the three colors of the goddesses' auras the same three colors as the orbs in tWW? If they were, then that's another connection. You got the color representing the goddesses from OoT, and the symbols from OoA.

Re: Is their a connection between the WW and OoA?

Only thing I can think of as a connection is the goddesses and Nayru/Din. Although I doubt there is a connection, just another design to use, and reuse. Also, where did that poll come from?

Re: Is their a connection between the WW and OoA?

I do believe that the Great Sea Ccovers all of the 3 lands because to the north of the Great Sea there is an isle called"Cresent Moon Isle." Isn't it peculiar that the same island the Tokays of OoA occupy has the same name and shape?

Oh wow...no I never gave that much thought about the names either. But I'm curious to say that....don't you think that Hyrule, Holodrum, and Lybrynna would be small considering the fact as to how much space we saw in tWW (plus I forgot that there were boundaries that the KoRL wouldn't let you cross...probably there would have been more over there)? Now as for the Cresent Moon Island....we forgot one major detail. The Great Flood. Wouldn't the Great Flood...flood the island? Islands don't float...unless this one does, who knows.
